I kinda wish duplicates of the items auto-squished. I'm tempted by the set bonus for maxing all the newbie items, but takes so long, and hard to justify when I think I need to get items from the further places to up my gold income, to progress with augmentations and such.
An idea in the works is you can select a single slot of your equipment to auto merge with any incoming loot drops that are the same item. I don't want every single item to always auto-merge with your existing gear, but letting you choose a target would be a nice in-between.
I noticed the achievement for getting 10 of something disappeared. my factor of 4, how I miss thee. Also, I see nothing really new other than new achievements, new upgrades, and some new managers that amount to an upgrade that makes some number more franchises affordable (so trivially different from N free franchises that already existed), and of course, the UI.
Given I prefer the old UI, I see nothing that warrants jumping to 2.0 in this update? but you didn't release an actual change list, so maybe I'm missing something?
Sorry for the negative review, I'm probably more annoyed by the loss of the factor of 4 than I should be, but I want that new number word dammit! frownyface
This is kinda after beating the game, but eventually the cost of resetting skill points becomes prohibitive. if you reset your skills and went all crit damage for the ice/gas stuff, you may not be able to get a new respec ever, as the price just keeps getting higher the more resets you do. I suggest either being able to sell gas/ice for money, or making the respec cost grow slower above 2000 skill points
I love this game. except that flash crashed after I was in newgame+ to get the 3 endings I didn't on the first go, and it lost my save data (/wrists)... I found the gameplay enjoyable, but there was a major flaw I feel I need to mention, and that is collision detection. Sometimes you could clip inside a wall and die slowly, unable to get out, you can fly through the big red beams and often times not get hit, really thin walls can often be flown through.
I find that one issue makes the game feel quite unpolished. However, because I enjoyed the game a lot more than many games I would give many stars too, I'm not rating it down for that. 5/5
