I know I'm very late to the party, but if you hold spacebar to stand still and get more sight, then press F to jump right after releasing space bar, you are able to jump half the map. Enjoy this handy trick, just be careful not to jump into 5 trolls.

If you end a match with 10 grand spend it, start another match pause and exit to the menu, then load your game, you have all the upgrades on the penguins and your ten grand back. However you can't buy speed boost, bombs, health bonus, or extra penguin, You can only upgrade your actual penguins and have the upgrades carry over.
