Awesome game. Had to look up level 20 because I didn't come up with using the block you're standing on at the start as a horizontal limiter. That would have taken me forever to figure out myself cause I kept looking at every other possible way over and over ....
Awesome for a beta version. Needs some more polishing (along with moar!/longer quest line) for complete version. 2 big improvements I would like to see:
1) Don't limit the item points. This is something you want to gain idle running the game in background. It's rather annoying that you can only get 2x item point[2] each time. Alternative is some better way to farm higher tier item points.
2) Filter on items. Things like fixed categories (i.e. separate weapons / defence / clothes / trinkets) which makes it clearer that you can only equip 1 weapon at a time. Along with some sorting to maximize certain required stats like max gold / skill level limit / defence / ... That way you can keep the current complexity of stat puzzling to achieve certain goals even if you further increase the number of possible items you can get.
I love how the harder levels first give the impression: Is this even possible? And then when you finaly figure out the trick give you that awesome feeling of accomplishment! 5/5
@chwooly put it into it's own window. At least for chrome it's known that other tabs in the same window get reduced time. Nothing the developper can do about that.
This gem of a game could really use a second badge for really completing it. That last part is so awesome that it would be sad if people missed it because they had a bit too much trouble getting all the docstrings. 5/5 from me :)
This game has a lot of potential ... if you are able to balance it better. Right now half of the jobs are useless (for example hunters that bring in less than 1% of your food production but cost a LOT of wood). Prestiging didn't really feel like it actually helped at all either.
Please make the anti-autoclick reset a bit less harsh. Now it's resetting often without cheating as well... Which I think is worse than preventing people from cheating. I mean, if they cheat they ruin their own fun. If you get punished even when not cheating it's ruining everyone's fun.
It feels weird to me how when you release and quickly hold again the car seems to bump the line and swerves to the other side instead. While all I was trying to do was make it change 1 lane and stay in that one without losing too much speed. I just can't seem to get the car to go to the lanes I want it to go. The idea on how to control the car is good, but the fine-grained control is too hard for me I guess ...
The music is so awesome. It gave me the feeling as if I was helping the cat to organize a meeting with his partners in crime. Perhaps I wasn't too far off seeing how they all steal the yummy cakes from the owners while those are not home. Enjoy these 5/5 stars!
Why this game is more luck based than strategy: You have too few moves available to set up your combos. If you can't start with a few combos it means you also don't get wildcards meaning it's even harder to get more combos set up. This has nothing to do with strategy and all with initial board setup. I too feel too limited because of luck rather than lack of strategy.
This game would be awesome if it wasn't for the manually canceling ALL paths... If you have 5 barracks it takes so long to cancel and re-route that your enemy has enough gold build up for another tower to put NEXT to your path, so cancelling all again ...
Update after previous comment. Seems I just used a wrong strategy on my workers. I'm now up to 10k pop and still growing fast. I should've just used more medicin earlier instead of less :) Didn't realise it would make up for the old people rather fast.
Serious balance issues currently. I had 5k pop. Tried to put a little more into wood to speed that up hoping to save up for cars. This resulted in my tools to run out, then my food production couldn't keep up anymore and I didn't get anymore babies. So 10 years later, I removed all lumberjacks, put 80% on farms (15 farms so that's over 90% of my remaining pop) to keep up with all the old people eating all my food. Did not work so my population dropped to 1.5k. Now my population is growing at 2 per tick so it'll take forever to catch up again. If they would mate like bunnies instead I would be able to make more food and keep up with increasing demand easily (I had 5k stable before remember). Can't you make medicin also increase population growth other than just making them older? (Which by the way is far too effective since old people take too long to die even without food ...)
This game needs badges! Impossible badge is reaching 100 (or 80 if we're being generous). Hard badge reach 20. Medium badge reach 10. Easy badge get 1 point ... or maybe just survive for 5 seconds, getting a point is too hard for an easy badge :p
Just got that bug again that makes any button unclickable. I'm guessing it's when there's a news popup + level up + game save at the same time. Perhaps a problem with racing conditions?
