So having checked in and looked over this whole "stolen game" thing...I find it worth noting a few things. The original source code was licensed under the MIT license, which is extremely open. Link to license: https://github.com/particle-clicker/particle-clicker/blob/master/LICENSE This is literally them providing such a broad and free licensing that there isnt really much issue here. Toss in a button that shows that whole license and you have fulfilled their requirements and have their permissions as listed there. I find your provided proof suspicious. I took a look on the pictured twitter accounts, saw no trace of such messages being sent...The grammar is inconsistent with how he types as well. And in fact, kdungs claims you "Stole" the game. Which by the way is a moot point given the license basically consists of "Keep this license and you can do whatever". Cant steal a freely distributed piece of software.

Evidently there is an interesting bug involving heat inlets. A part that can store heat next to any cell and an inlet attached gets the inlets full capacity drawn out. Even a 1 heat uranium can produce millions of heat via this. Its a fairly niche bug and is harmful, yet if done correctly actually does a fantastic job heating up fission builds.

I certainly enjoy this game quite a bit! It takes the reactor setup portion of industrialcraft and scales it up into its own game, and from the first build to now its already improved quite a bit. As a result of my enjoyment of the gameplay, you can have my 5/5 and assurances that i will be watching this game intently to see how it grows.

Certainly an interesting concept. It does lack quite a bit on execution, and it takes a while to progress. But with a bit of work it could be fleshed out a bit more and become an enjoyable game. Personally i would say revisit the idea when you have a bit more experience under your belt as far as game development goes. If you continue or revisit the idea, i would suggest a wider range of upgrades and adjusted pacing. For example, allow the water droplet upgrade from the start and make it a bit cheaper. This plus a wide range of upgrades (Examples including wider bucket. More/faster rain, rain magnet, upgrade for passive water generation (Perhaps some kind of well?), maybe some kind of amusing upgrade like a hat.)

Im noting that your estimate of 22 minutes with 69 wins and 15 defeats has one thing that few players have...You are a developer. You know the enemy path, how the game works. This makes it seem pretty easy if you have already beaten the game or are one of the developers. But keep in mind...Everyone here isnt a developer for your game, and atleast at one point everyone hasnt beaten it before. So if you excuse the system with "Well if you are going on the optimal path..." That seems to tell me that you are just ignoring the fact that most people arent going to know the optimal path. For future updates or future games, you might wish to keep in mind that its best not to alienate new players just because you, the developer with great knowledge of the games inner workings, can do things efficiently and quick.

We had done our tests on fresh players - college kids, middle schoolers, and some are much younger than you. We did see that it required a bit of thinking, just as we intended, and those who did that bit of thinking got it. Why not try that approach?

Yknow. Ive played many idle games...This is only one of them. I agree with the many complaints. The upgrade costs being shared seems like a terrible idea. And i hate to tell you, but regardless of how much effort was put into it, or how balanced its thought to be...It isnt a fun system. It forces more grinding for even the slightest advantage. And tends to mess you up the moment the enemy type changes. Every bit of power you went into building up for one type? Useless the moment the type shifts. And given the rock paper scissors system, that means every time you buy one upgrade, you just made it take longer to get the other 2. This effectively ensures that no matter what choice you make, you are going to get the short end of the stick twice. And so far, it seems this is the consensus...So im thinking that again. Regardless of how good idea it was, it isnt catching on and isnt helping this game become popular at all...As is shown by the rating.

Developer response from khailcs

I checked again in case I mistakenly changed something. I am out of shape but still I beat the game in 22 minutes with 69 wins and 15 defeats. For the nth time, shared cost is not for length padding or grinding. We actually wanted brevity and cut out 42 enemies from the game. The only reason we developed an idle is because we were excited to bring strategic elements into it. So you have to think a little to beat this game. If you are looking for a mindless game where nothing more is required of you but to click a pixel then you are in the wrong place. We accept this as the price of doing something different - not pleasing everybody; but we'd rather take this risk than add to the endless heap of clones. If you want another clone, you have a right to. But that's not our intention here.

Yeah, king is absolutely terrible. I agree 100%. This game was during the period where they didnt suck. Built by a developer that also didnt suck at the time. If anything? You play this INSTEAD of kings terrible, terrible games out there now. Show them that we like the old games they made that were unique and quality rather then the mass produced garbage they publish today.

430k kills, nearly 24 hours, countless shots fired, level 90 damage multiplier, and one dedicated little penguin with the ability to fire a cannon 13.3 times a second and now i can blow up a huge planet at'least a hundred times as large as earth in a single comically huge rocket. Truly this is the most accurate depiction of how the dodo went extinct.

Yeah. The difficulty curve is simply obscene...You go from "Okay, everythings nice and easy." to a sudden snap where every single enemy unit can one hit yours. But your units cant one hit the enemy. And just when you start being able to deal some damage...You learn your enemy can use heal magic to. And given how powerful healing magic is...Yeah. You arent going to be making much progress.

Yknow. I read blacksmithing. I thought "Huh, that sounds neat". Then i read the description...Unpredictable sequence of hitting arrow keys to simulate forging? I was decidedly less excited. Upon playing, the graphics were nice. however underneath this was pretty shallow gameplay. You hit random buttons to "Forge" a sword. Except you arent actually forging anything. You take a sword thats glowing hot (Yet still completely finished) then bash it a few times with a hammer. Thats not forging, thats whack-a-mole. I will give you one thing. This is the best forging experience you could possibly get through unpredictable sequences of hitting arrow keys. Unfortunately even the best of this is still mediocre.

Yeah. The boss isnt a magical hidden thing. It pops into a random bubble at some point. I found it when i back tracked slightly in a class 1 (See: Not a class 6.) tank. I proceeded to tear it to shreds due to the fact its really underpowered for a boss.

Not bad, pretty fun...But towards the end, i typically end up getting killed due to target priority hating me. Beam snipe tends to end up shooting a fragile enemy rather then the big durable ones. And if one big enemy gets through, there is the chance it just messed up the rest of my defences by causing them all to attack a fragile enemy for the last second before it escapes their range which causes half the wave to go through...Which would be fixed if i could have my towers aim at the weakest enemy.

Developer response from DanElectro

Yeah, I decided not to include targeting priority for a few reason. If I make a sequel I will probably add it though. There is another solution to this problem, the double fire combo (especially on Ion cannons) will help with this.

My only question is...How the heck does the class system work as far as nodes and skills? I mean, if D learns guardian II, he gets to have 6 health nodes...If lina does that, she gets only 4. Along with different skills. And D has slayer I with 24 nodes, but Kaz had it with 25...And kaz got cleave from slayer I and not II...It makes it a bit difficult for me to plan ahead if i have no idea how a choice is going to impact things later. It seems every character gets different things from every class, and i have no idea if this is an effect of prior choices made, of it its simple different for everyone...I mean, if slayer II has cleave for D, would it have for Kaz? Would i end up missing out on abilities and such because i picked a class at the wrong time?

Whats up with the absolute lack of numbers? Percentage based upgrades are great, but how do i know which one i want if i dont actually know what the original number is? 22% damage sounds great, but 22% of what? 1? 5? 10? Does that percentage go on top of the upgrade or is it to the base? I cant see the numbers for it so i have no idea. It forces me to make upgrade choices going into things blind...Without knowing the numbers, i have no idea which upgrade is going to be better or worse. Its excessively vague.

Developer response from WingonStudios

We are aware we could have made this clearer in the game. Did you know that if you open the pause menu there is a stats tab to the left that shows mostly what you are looking for I think?

No amount of mentioning that you didnt make it in the description makes that okay.

Its a fairly good game...But the lack of stats on things renders it difficult to use any form of strategy. It basically renders all my decisions to be "Okay, do i pick this stat i dont know what does, or the other one that i also know nothing about."
