Here's a hot tip: each upgrade level costs the same, regardless of whether you've bought lower levels. So if you have a level 1 stat and buy level 4, it costs less than if you bought levels 2 and 3 first. Upvote so other people can take advantage of this.
It's a cute game, a bit glitchy, though. It's a bit disorienting how any object you pick up begins shaking uncontrollably, especially when it's a large block obscuring your vision. Cut objects ought to disappear after a while, otherwise they just get in the way. And for what it's worth, the escape key doesn't do what you claim it does.

"You have been randomly selected to defend the front lines." If a randomly selected citizen can pilot a robot so well, how come the trained soldiers didn't stand a chance?
Protip: if you activate the dinosaur teleporter, then replay the game and activate the glasses teleporter, you create a world where everyone is a dinosaur wearing glasses. And it is amazing.
I would enjoy the game much more if the adventurers weren't completely brain dead and would actually try to progress instead of continuously running in circles, stealing my money.
What's interesting is that the one thing that really annoyed me was the combo/perfect bar. It was right in the middle of the screen, and blocked my view of the approaching arrows.
Original concept, fun gameplay, and the sheer beauty of a thousand missiles zooming into an enemy's doom. There was one glitch where I somehow lost every weapon in my arsenal, but I was soon able to rebuild my ship and destroy the game. Kudos. I freaking love this game.
