Too hard. I've played level one about 6 times now, even using the walkthrough the last time, and I haven't beaten it yet. If level 1 is that hard, the rest of the game must be impossible. Fail.
It's too easy. Sometimes you can walk/shoot through walls/obstacles, other times you can't. Some of the weapons are just junk (flame thrower). Getting more of the same weapon type should level it up each time. Enemy weapons should be more powerful and faster. It's too easy to evade enemy fire. Enemy bridges and corners should be better defended (they're choke points).
Also, countries should go off alert if you sell off some of the more visable traits. That way, a very infectious disease could still spread, without any visual signs.
Good idea. Poorly realized product. The Madagascar problem is a big FAIL. Evolution points are way out of balance. Sometimes they come really fast. Othertimes, really slow. Once you add some lethality to your disease, the death toll goes from 0 to millions in one quick shot. It should be more gradual. Diseases that are insect and rodent borne should be able to cross borders regardless of border closing. Islands shouldn't be able to close their borders. Even if airports and shipyards are closed, there should still be some chance the disease will make it into a country, even on islands like Madagascar and New Zealand. Fix these problems, and you'll have a pretty good little game.
One other thing... once a road is cleared, I should be able to travel through several cities with one click, without having to stop in each city in between.
Also, it'd be nice if resting actually did something. And if you could do something with the money that you win, like buy items in a store. Or buy new spells, or add damage power to the spells that you already have.
I like it lots. Good combo of skill and luck. There's SOOOO much that you could add to it, like levels, specialty items, a larger spellbook, missions, etc. I agree that it feels a bit unfinished. At the very least, it's really short (I finished it in a couple of hours).
