Great game, but definitely need a dedicated level reset button in case of glitches. The level after The Grand Reunion (Fork In The Road chapter) - you can flip the first gravity switch and manage to fall down the side you came up without dying and hit the first checkpoint again - its unlikely, but amazingly I did this and it stopped me from restarting the level.. so if you fall back into Grand Reunion to revert yourself - you die within half a second of the level starting and this breaks the whole game after about a minute.
Cant help but think of meatboy - its imprinted throughout this game from the story to the music to the gameplay, however its a good platformer, nowhere near as frustrating or as hard as meatboy and the jetpack is a nice addition.
Tough learning curve, but once you get it - its good fun. Would suggest for beginners to start on the outside of the puzzle, making symmetrical shapes (with the dots) - looking for dots that can only fit symmetrically one way.. with a bit of patience you should pick up the pattern forming concept quite quickly and by the end I was finishing 20x20 in under 8 minutes - shorter than it took me to do 10x10 at the start!!!
If you are pointing at the middle of a segment, if a gap comes, dont move it!! Use the middle of the segments as a point reference when controlling. Takes some getting used to but doing this got me the hard badge in about 5-10 minutes.. Love the techno 8-bit sounds in this game though.. reminds me of SMB
Get 150 in all abilities to unlock the last race... YOU get to control the duck in the last race.. which means.. you got 150 FOR NOTHING because the duck doesnt even use its abilities - what a kick in the balls.
