I have a suggestion in reference to the unlocks throughout levels. It seems that you've coded the upgrades dependent on the level you're playing. Instead, let us use the "Lighting Tower" unlocked onstage 6 to actually be USED on level 5 after unlocking it. This allows you to keep limits on gameplay, but also allows freedom when backtracking for brilliance.
I believe this is a bug. I have the 7th slot and two of my seven plants died. I've been told that I still have the maximum amount of plants. Game, this information is incorrect.
All right, I've played to a fair point and I've decided to toss my review in. The game works and flows well, but has it's flaws. Gold explodes and flies too far, the truck's hitbox is a tad on the large side, and items can become unobtainable. To fix this, allow the gold/items to only be blasted a certain distance (low for weaker bombs), and not fly off screens or land inside a rock. The truck's box makes it hard to get into a 1 block wide entrance because of it's 1 block wide size. Lower this hitbox to about .8, while keeping the collection radius. That's my take on the game, otherwise I'd give it a 4/5. It has a lot of potential and all, but the disadvantages are game breaking for me. Also, I agree with the minimap idea others have thrown in.
Would it be adequate here if I reported a small bug that the light spell doesn't seem to be unlocked in the guide although I have it? I'm in the second level now.
I like the game up until the part where zombies start to semi-auto shotgun pellets into my god damn face, because Zombies don't do that shit. What the hell, man? I can understand and tolerate every other aspect except for shooting. Furthermore, they never reload and continue spamming until you die. There's no way out of two zombies popping up off screen and shooting you for a few seconds until you drop dead. This is not okay with me.
I think this may be a bug, but all of a sudden the after battle pop-ups (you gained this much money and lost these many zombies, OR You failed etc) they stopped appearing. Weird.
My only problem with this game is the issues with money. The income drops over time and eventually the costs outweigh the incomes. Eventually I'm sitting there with the 2nd level of my corporation, terrified to bump it up because I can't afford $2500*x workers AND buy zombies. The upgrades cost a bit too much money as well. Perhaps I just suck at this game or am missing something, but jeez.. This is rough.
Why is it that I spend 30 minutes on a level and get all the way to wave 30, killed all the monsters up to that point, die on the final wave, and not even get ONE power up? What, you want me to play the first area 50 times or something?
Another thing I will toss into the air is adding a final graphic update for getting a weapon to level 10. (As the graphic evolution is my favorite part of the game, seeing them not change after lvl 5 Was a downer.
That attack was nullified. As such, it did not make contact. Since I was not harmed or damaged, I can expect my combo to be okay and my horribly overpriced guns to continue being affordable, yes? No. Not at all. And that pisses me off. If an attack is nullified or blocked it should, in fact, not reset the combo.
I doubt that this comment will be seen and read by the D, so feel free to copy it to the other Cursed Treasure game. I think that the towers should have the ability to be "turned off" if the player wishes, to make it both more realistic and make a more expansive gameplay. It would be useful for when that Champion thief walks up and my Demons are in the way of my Orcs.
Paradox mode was added as one of the last features and I just didn't have the energy to draw any more scopes and stuff on the weapons.
