The controls do feel greatly improved in 1.0.2. Walljumping is still a bit awkward, but it didn't keep me from beating the game.
I'm disappointed (and mildly frustrated) that playing through all of the levels on hardcore didn't automatically qualify me for the "not dying" achievements. It's a pain in the ass that I have to quit out of the level and restart completely when it's, functionally, the exact same as playing through it once on hardcore.
A bit easier in fact.
I'm guessing this is a first game. If it is, it's pretty decent. I'm not sure if it actually IS the first game you've created, it just has the feel of one.
I'm sorry, but this is nothing but a step down from the first Murloc RPG. It gets tedious quickly and I spend about half my time "playing" doing something else while rez sickness disappears/abilities cool down. Not an enjoyable RPG at all.
Well, I got 33 liters of blood on level 6 and can't continue, so I'm going to have to assume that either this is the end of the game or that it's bugged.
Fun game, but it could use a hard set of levels. There were only one or two mildly difficult parts of this one which I needed to replay two or three times to get them down - mostly due to the weird robot/soldier behavior where they keep on shooting after you're out of sight. Other than that, it was quite enjoyable.
Decent enough Tower Defense, nothing revolutionary but it was easy to pick up, fairly challenging at times. 15 levels isn't very long, but you spend a good block of time beating the game. 4/5
Pretty good game but it has some problems.
Make the controls more responsive, perhaps add some alternate firing styles to every weapon (like an orbit option for the protection orbs, a forward fire to the fireballs, etc.) and you'd have an *amazing* sequel. I'm looking forward to it, the boss design is spectacular, they're a lot of fun to fight. Looking forward to it.
(4/5)
Needs more weapon variety. Good at its' core, lot of issues sort of kill the overall experience. In particular Coeus is basically a giant exhibition of things I didn't like in this game. Final boss is also way, way too easy compared to Black Hole 1.
I like the difficulty curve and ease of screwing yourself, honestly - it's encouraged me to repeatedly restart and try new things, experimenting.
Maybe I'm just a masochist.
Good god, this game took forever to finish. My last few unlocks were just stupid, too... crabman, puppy, and Monk Apprentice. I *know* I had to have killed each of these at least a dozen times, are you sure the unlocks for them are working?
