Fantastic game. One nit: it would be really handy to have a "restart" option, in-game. Having to reload the page and wait through all the intro every time you want to try again (for the last badge) is a bit tedious.
Those who claim it is "boring" or "tedious" are looking for thrills not present in this game. The game is aptly named--it's really more of an exercise in meditation. You won't find any eye-candy or adrenalin rushes here, but if you just want something quiet and slow-paced, this is a great one. I'm giving it 4/5. It'd be 5/5 of a little more time had been spent on the UI, but it definitely suffices as-is.
The best advice I received on this game is to use the cursor (the blue circle) to "aim". Once I began treating it as cross-hairs instead of destination, I immediately got the requisite 1031 points (and then some).
The new changes are brilliant! I love the updated physics; I find I have much fewer out-of-bounds hits, and the ball travels more intuitively now. I agree with what others have said about the orange line, though--it's a great learning tool, but removes much of the challenge of the game. A tutorial round of holes would be a great place to use that feature.
Also, the new physics seem (to me) to make the "Mass: xyz" label on each planet unnecessary. I vote for removing that label.
I think there is a bug. The rules say "If it is adjacent to any enemy tiles, it will take control over them if it’s number is higher than the number on the enemy tile", but placing a tile with a '1' next to an enemy tile with a '20', takes over the enemy tile. Is that right?
I do agree that the current physics make the game rather unpredictable--it's very hard to know how the ball is going to fly with any given trajectory and velocity. That said, I do NOT think that the gravity needs to be "realistic". How many here have ever played golf in space, bouncing the ball from planet to planet? Right. So, all the game needs is a way to help the player anticipate (either explicitly or implicitly) the trajectory of the ball. That said, I still gave the game 4/5, because it's more fun than annoying to play. :)
Doesn't work for me. :( I select my car, and when I try to select my track the "loading track preview" message begins blinking and it never gets past it.
This game has huge potential. I originally rated it 5/5, but after finishing it and (as others have noted) finding it short and rather abrupt, changed it to 4/5. Fantastic concept, though. Keep up the great work!
This game needs a lot of work. As it stands, it is incredibly frustrating. The aiming is horrible, and the upgrades are next to worthless. At first, I thought the game was clever and fun, but the more I played it, the more I played it just to try and get the badge, and at this point, I'm so frustrated with it that it isn't even worth the badge anymore. (Particularly since the one time I got 100 kills, the server didn't seem to recognize it and did not give me the badge.)
