6) Barricades are cheap, durable, and WILL block weapons fire of all types!
7) In Defense Missions, and any missions with the Green Infestation Opponents, focus on making lots of Fighter bays with Interceptors and Gunships, or otherwise Turtle with idea 4) !
8) LEARN FROM YOUR OPPONENTS. If you take the time to let him build up the first time you try a mission, you can see his tactics that he uses should you try again!
9) PROTECT YOUR BASE CONSTRUCTION BUILDING. If this goes, NO MORE BUILDINGS CAN BE BUILT.
10) Finally, if Infested, Your Ships and Buildings will do EXACTLY what they were made to do to support the Enemy! Your Turrets will shoot you, your Ships will Infest you, your Repair turrets will heal Infested ships/buildings, and your Structures will keep building Infested Ships!
Take the word of the guy who played (And beaten!) this game a week before its release on the creator's site:
1) The Resist Infest, Shock Resist, Heavy Industry, Ship Regen, Structure Regen, and all Hangar upgrades are VITAL to this game!
2) Your fight is to out produce the other guy! Quantity beats quality, as the computer usually has a starting advantage over you!
3) PAUSE THE GAME! You can place structures and defenses this way, and look at the enemy's base!
4) Early on, outproducing the other AIs is vital to your success! Later on, around the 60s difficulty levels, make Reactors, Missile Turrets, Rocket Turrets, Autoguns (for anything that gets by your Rockets and Missiles, good for Infestor shots!), and Repair Turrets (Heal ALL status effects)
5) With the Rapid Repair upgrade, your Repair Turrets can even cure Infestation!
Something interesting, but after you get perfect ratings in all the levels and earn all the rewards, it turns out that you have 6 crystals left over with nothing to spend them on. Am I missing something here? Honestly, I couldn't think of anything else I'd want to spend them on by the time I got that many left over. :D The game is such fun that it doesn't matter to me.
Honestly, my biggest problem is that, unlike Shadez 2, the game User Interface is too big to have on the common computer screen. I have to
1. Click out of the game screen
2. Scroll the screen up to see money
3. Scroll back down
4. Continue playing the game
This wasn't a problem before, and that deeply upsets me. I love this game! I didn't encounter any loading problems (and I'm on IE 7, for crying out loud)
Before the mighty Decision Man fought the Zombie hordes of Anytown, America, he served honorably against the bug hordes, grew tired of covering himself in green bug guts, and decided to drink whiskey until zombies appeared.
Right...
Well, at least failure means that I get to see the very lovely and nubile Reporter again. One thing I've never minded about the more recent games...eye candy. ;)
I really liked this game! I seriously liked it...it was easy, sure, but hell, I liked the fact that THIS time, I could ACTUALLY build myself a base, and defend myself as I was supposed, as opposed to the first version, which by the time I played it, had disabled most everything besides leveling up the soldiers and getting new guns. It's a DAMN COOL GAME, but it's got a few bugs, one of which is game-breaking. In the first wave where the "Soldier Mk. II" appears, the Zombie...doesn't appear. I think I ran into a very strange bug, which pretty much ended the game for me, forcing a "clear save game". This wasn't a BIG deal, given how relatively simple it was for me to recover my lost progress, but I think you should IMMEDIATELy look into this. Overall, a fun game, one which truly seems to be Beta stage.
thank you for the kind words, and Yes i am aware of this bug, on that wave one of the enemies dont spam on map and you must go to upper side with a soldier to shoot him outside the map, programmer is tryng to fix this bug , i am sorry for the inconveniance
Found out through the constructive pursuit of SCIENCE against zombies that using the "Rage Toxin", bought for 7000 (I think) gold that can be fired from your Pistol or Rifle actually heals, speed/strength/health buffs, and drives totally insane ANY zombie, werewolf, or boss of your choice. That's right, you can turn that pesky boss into super fast, super strong indiscriminate mass-zombie lawnmower AND multiply its health by 2.5! And then, after a few moments and some careful planning, can infect another nearby boss, and watch the zombie prize-fight of the CENTURY. Time your shots right, and you can kill both for 1.5x the extra money...seriously, FlyAnvil, you guys ROCK. Most fun with zombie hordes I've ever had.
Thank goodness the Alliance is here, is all I have to say. I love this game anyway, and I find it...not terribly fair of us Kong people to rage at this guy so badly. I'm a little frustrated at Armor Games controlling nature too, lord KNOWS I'm familiar with it (Warfare 1917, games like that), but at the same time, at LEAST DJ releases it here. He could do the classic sponsor crap: Not release it period. I don't blame you mate, you gotta eat too. It's just Kongregate's bad luck that Armor Games has been his sponsor for the game.
Towards the last mission, I just started laughing. The poor zombies. Once you get your feet under you, learn to engage in hit and run attacks and attack when YOU are in the forests, it becomes...fun. And then the final mission comes. And then I just started laughing my ass off.
To everybody who suffers from the "G to rescue your companion not working" issue, I MAY have found an UNOFFICIAL solution. When your companion goes down, you can not rescue them for some reason: the "G" key doesn't work. I have found that, if you save in the SAME ROOM or street area as your downed companion, save and quite FROM THE MENU IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER of the game screen, and then continue your game, your companion will be fully healed, standing next to you, and have their weapon. This has been tested about 6 times. Please, if it works for you, thumbs up this until the developers find a more appropriate, official workaround for this problem.
I was shocked to realize that your sending of ships to the Motherships were NOT, in fact, suicide missions if you were quick enough. You CAN save some of your brave pilots from a fiery doom...but ONLY if you a) Get them off of the mothership just before it blows and b) leave enough ships to finish the job! So long as even one ship remains, the Mothership is doomed! But...its lasers will STILL take a lot of casualties...don't try to save them unless you've got a lot making a run for it at once. Otherwise, you'll just get them killed anyway...
LOL yes, usualy zombie movies have bad endings :P , initialy we wanted to add 3 difrent endings but we were realy out of time :(
