@Xalendare - 'improved'. Yes it is, not by much. The improvements only help those at the top. Didn't change any of the gameplay or improve the chances of winning for those at the bottom, at least events scaled to the power of the eligble heroes when it resets. In fog, you just gotta pray that you get opponents you can beat and not get unlucky with red portal, they should make it go back 2 spaces or increase the max number for a dice roll so that it is possible to get past it in 1 turn. at the moment it's 0% chance to get past it in 1 turn which is unfun when you get stuck the loop.
For Hard badge, I did what archerbob said. Stick to border and follow it, it will limit the direction they can shoot you from. I also from time to time stayed in the corner as the enemy offscreen will slowly move towards you. If it feels like there's too much going on move to another corner.
I completed each day by playing laser guy with 4 starting lasers and at least one upgraded to red. Spread out the box upgrades. For me to be comfortable I had between 70hp - 100hp on day 7,8,9 and have at least one of each seed and then stacking ice, shurikens, leaf seads. And don't forget to spend your money on boxes before final boss.
@FrostPaladin - yes the support units like shaman and priest are annoying. You should focus killing them first if you are unable to kill the enemy in 1 hit. If you're having a hard time as a melee, either run past the enemy and kill the shaman/priest or retreat and find something to run around and then run at the shaman or priest. And remember to strafe run at shaman/priest (run zig-zag relative to the target for bonus 20% strafe evasion).
@HalfSheardSheep - I would suggest you play the game slowly as it is a turn-based game. It would probably help if you watch a yt tutorial - not sure why the developer wouldn't have at least have a training mode to show case how certain mechanic works. E.g. Speed points, strafe dodge, element interactions.
For people with log in problems. Try clearing your cookies or play in private browsing or incognito mode. Clearing the cookies/private browsing will make the game download the files from scratch.
@vovillia Best advice I can give is you take it slow down, it is turn-based not real-time. There's a reason why the hard badge is called 'no time to think'.
@Darklumina What do you mean by 'good weapon'? Afaik, there are no class restrictions on weapons. Which is useful e.g. Mage using a bow because enemy is resistant to the staff element.
@musea9 Before you get more frustrated, I think it would help if you have a look at the controls and watch a tutorial.
@KeeperBvK - Normally collecting things would be a good badge but that doesn't work for RNG drops or gacha games. I would rather have a hard badge to finish chapter 10 and impossible badge to get all the stars (normal, difficult and extreme).
So after finishing hard badge. Some tips are: play defender to unlock your gun mods. Try not to change more than once or twice - you have to grind the mods for each gun. After unlocking the greed mod, attach it, and play time attack as it spawns a lot of enemies from the get-go. Every other game mode starts off slow.
@jackvermicelli It's not for everyone. It's based on an old computer game called "slay". To play well will require thinking, patience is optional (kinda like chess or risk).
@shadree you can gather debris in the water near the stone fountian and chickens. Not sure but I think you can use a rake on the hay piles? Still haven't got a rake from the tool box and not sure where the heck to buy one.
Well finished. There's also hidden pets you can find but they don't do anything in the demo from what I could tell. Personally, I don't like the respawning monster aspect on normal mode, it pointlessly extends the gameplay i.e. normal mode should have been hardcore mode minus the less effective potion. Some Tips: 1. you get the item to destroy barrels in the 2nd dungeon. No need to worry about missing an item while doing the 1st dungeon. 2. Some scrolls require to find hidden areas by walking into the wall from what I could tell there wasn't anything to indicate there is one other than an empty space on the screen/dead ends (I brute forced by running into like every wall on every level that had missing space)
I give it a barrel smashing and rock crushing out of 5.
@fakezero - the hunger/food seems fine. I haven't had a game where I was starving without food. If you're using food as a heal/potion then I think that means you need plan your moves more and fight near mushrooms.
@Four867 that's why reading dialogue is important XD. if you are talking aboutemeralds for your eagle totem, you are looking for two bushes. One is west on the bit of land sticking out; other is near the bridge.
@czaka energy does regenerate. dunno the rate. but i login at least twice a day - there's 8hr cooldown for the free gacha pull and need 2 pulls for the daily.
