Here is another strategy for hardcore.
2 fighters and 2 clerics. Place 2 clerics and fighter in front row with fighter in the middle. place other fighter in back row in the middle. Focus fighter gear on quickness, give them axe and spear, and be sure to use the skill overpower.
The trouble is, as you kill the baddies, fewer sprites means that the remaining sprites increase in speed. These changes make it difficult to accurately dodge the enemies.
well, its not a direct ripoff, I can tell because of some very frustrating bugs, such as the game not ending when you run out of available moves, and the game sometimes not recognizing when a group of three has been made.
Those of you who have the patience and want to see the other bugs, here is how to make progress in the game.
You only need 1 bug.
build a turret or three.
use you bug to tease the enemy bugs into range of your turret.
if any bug or turret is in danger of being destroyed, then sell it.
The enemy has a finite amount of money, once you destroy all the bugs with your turrets, then go whack the base.
Build your new bases closer to the middle of the map, when a new enemy spawns in, it should be withing range of your turrets, and they can take it down.
thre is very little gameplay here. because of the color and shapes restructions, tehre are usually very few possible combinations you can make, which means there is very little strategy. You can only rotate, and if there are not 3 magnets close enough together to rotate into contact, then you lose, and its all luck if you get some of those.
Blah. there are a bunch of times that no amount of skill will keep you from dying, you just get killed, so instead of designing better fights, you get extra lives.
Blah, I say, Blah
Blah.
The attractors and repelors make it very difficult to actually predict where your shot is going to go, since you can't see how large their field of influence is.
