I don't understand the concern with the hero being useless. In chess, not a single person even considers tanking with the king, but no one complains that the king isn't the most powerful piece on the board. The same concept applies here.
This game didn't put a lot into story elements or scenery, time wasn't wasted on defining characters or adding moral choices. This game went with a single theme and put everything into that. Really I think sometimes it's good to distance yourself from the story, forget about the characters, forget about the plot and just focus on the gameplay. Great controls, good graphics, some good guns: great game in my book.
There is something wrong, when I try to load the game it just starts spamming my sound with what sounds vaguely like explosions and other than showing the armorgames and hero interactive start-ups it doesn't appear to actually play the game for me. I have not not experienced this on any other game on Kongregate.
I love the madness vids but this game's controls are horrible, the entire aiming system is messed up to the point that the only way to shoot ahead of yourself is to move your cursor to the edge of the screen and then it usually ends up leaving the screen so you can neither shoot nor aim anymore. I'd reccamend completely reworking the aiming system until its MUCH more user-friendly.
