Gate unlocks at Planes Lore level 20. The Gemcraft upgrade (imbue gems as continuous action instead of clicking action) is terrible as it takes up an action slot.
Quick Boots II (lv 4) is no better than enchanting Quick Boots I (lv 1) 4 times, and actually costs more in terms of gems. And what does Spellcraft Power even do?
No level select. The game can have a bad ending too, I didn't want to push the players to get only the good one, you win either way by completing the game so there's no point to it. Let's say this game had a level select, then what about time and death count(a lot of dialogues are relative to those stats)? Still, it was my bad to place there an achievement to get every coin, I didn't expect so many players to go directly for it :(
Whew! Once I figured out how respawning worked, the impossible rooms became less impossible and it was incredibly rewarding to figure them out. Fantastic game!
It's odd that there are several achievements that reward you for NOT playing the game. E.g. to get 3 days of Turbo Time, you have to not play for 6 months.
I didn't understand the whole footsteps bit. My idea was that Deck killed himself because the mystery was too easy to figure out, so he wanted to provide a real mystery.
Did something change? I played this the other day, beat level 15, and it took me to a level (not the Boss level) that I couldn't figure out, so I quit. Just now, I rebeat level 15 and it took me to the boss level.
