All hail Bub and Bob, the great, walking, talking, rectangular, pixelated tomes of knowledge! Appropriate music. The game's representation completely aligns with its rules. I like a game that tells us how it is. This game is awesome. The sequels will no-doubt take us further into the meaning behind games. Pixelate, light the way!
Sure, it's a lot like some other games, but that's called a GENRE. JustBilly said a lot of what I wanted to say. Kudos to him. I don't know about anyone else, but I got a glitch where the game actually stopped every few seconds for a second or so. Very annoying. Might have actually played this game, with its very nice music and smooth physics, if it weren't for that. And it's NOT like Amorphous. It's an Arena Shooter. JustBilly is completely right.
Brain exploding from too many doors! Must kick down all doors in own house. Great soundtrack. I'd certainly download the music if I didn't actually have to ask anybody where to find it. I refuse to Google it 'cause I'm lazy. Very good, and very challenging. I now have a burning hatred for non-revolving doors. Fun fact: Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door!
Really enjoyed this game first time I played it, but that was before it had badges. And no saved games means I can't have my badges. And no 'restart level' function means that when I accidentally started the level after having sold cards but before I bought new ones, I was kinda screwed at the boss. Oh well. Frantic is the bomb. Great explosions, decent music, cool upgrades, great bosses. Love it so much I played it again for the badges. All my stars are belong to Frantic
Hmm... That last level is a bit like Meltdown, which I played on albinoblacksheep.com a while ago. Except Meltdown is played with the arrow keys. A very nice game. I liked the blue penguin things. Although BobbleXD (my brother) says they're not penguins. Gimme a shout and offer your opinion. I value opinions. This game could definitely do with a badge. The music (for once, in a game) was quite good. I like the ending with the penguin (or maybe it's not a penguin. Shout at me if you think I'm wrong) looking through the keyhole. I thought it was an amazingly quirky and interesting game, and I loved every bit. Penguins (/not penguins) are the bomb.
Certainly has its faults (poor cut detector, pointed out by rmagere, faulty star count for the badge from Kingy86, Conner999, Zeropromillo and others, the edge-of-screen cutting annoyance from Retrospek, user-friendliness problems from captainstag, and grammar and word use from Jetfrog (ME! :D)) but it's an interesting game. I enjoyed cutting stuff up a fair bit, although some levels were a bit too obvious, and they were all fairly short. I suppose the mixed opinions on this game reflect the varied ups and downs of the game itself. Oh well. Not my favourite game. Yes, favourite, not favorite. I'm Aussie and proud. Spellchecks ftw
Ahahah. The pills are your friends. They make everything better again •_° They make the clouds smile and the signpost wave at you. Happy happy happy, wheeee! Chaoz Impact by ParagonX9 makes it aaaaalll better (that's the song). A simple concept (running around, collecting this, avoiding that) can still be very addictive, as can these drugs. Yum. I'd like to see a few more sides on the death dice. I mean, they're being thrown by the gods, right? Surely they can have 7, maybe 9 sides on their dice. Can't get the challenge, but I still think Drugs Are Really Excellent! 0_•
To you people who cheated: shame on you. You are not worthy of the thinking trophies. Awesome game! Loved every bit. I r a flexible thinker? o_O I can has cheezburger nao? We'll see. Maybe if I click enough red buttons. I think there are some on my brother's shirt. That's weird. Maybe I'll poke him and see what happens. joshshort0, if this game shouldn't have badges because you don't have to figure it out for yourself, then any game with a walkthrough on ANY site should be badgeless. This is, of course, ridiculous. Shame on ye for telling everyone how to cheat.
Woohoo! Retro! *inserts coins*. Berzerk Studio has outdone itself here. Great game, hilarious spoofing, smooth animation. Jsut a couple of things: the music was starting to carve a hole in my head after a while, and the game became a tad repetitive with the '2nd world' thing... could've been a bit more creative there. That aside, great game is an excellent Zelda-style adventure, with everything a Zelda-style adventure needs plus more! *inserts more coins*
To those people who don't like the game: get used to traffic. If you drive (like normal people) you will just have to get used to it (unless you're the god of alternate routes). I got pretty frantic on the last map. I would prefer a computer to do it for me... much like in real life. Heh o_o;;. Here's another fact! :D The city council of Cattolica, in Italy, removed all traffic lights and this greatly improved people's awareness and caution at intersections. Other adjustments were also made to roads, public transport stops and footpaths, and 360 out of 375 people were happy with the new changes! I didn't really get much oomph out of that, but I'm happy with this game ^^
Not sure why everyone's saying it was too hard. True, there's no pause feature to give time in between waves to build up, but if you're creative, it shouldn't be that tough. Avalon1189, every weapon is described with a short video (just a picture for crates) when you hover the mouse over it. The instruction manual was incredibly detailed, I don't see what's wrong with it. Here's a nice strategy for those who can't beat the damn thing: upgrade the bee hives to hot coals. They're damn efficient. Make sure to link as efficiently as you can, it's not that hard. I understand some people think traps aren't new, but using them this prominently with towers as a secondary option IS new. Also, there aren't that many TD games that involve shoving the enemies around with this much strategy. EXCELLENT menu and end-song, absolutely hilarious. This is a TD for thinkers, not lazy people, so fair-dinkum to those who were hoping for something to relax with and were disappointed
Great game, to be sure. Could use some more versatility/customisation with menus and navigation, such as, if a game becomes full as you're trying to join it, you have to reload the page rather than simply click a button.
I believe. I remember 18293. There are life, love, misunderstanding, weird noses... hmm. Yes, jmtb02, we accept your apology for this amazingly weird game. Personally, I loved the amazing randomness. Random intro. Random game. What's an elephant doing at a rave, why does the laser show KILL the elephant (or rather, put him/her upside-down and ruin the rave) and what are those god-damn sweepy things going across the floor? Hands down, this is the most random game I have played. Ever. Congrats to jmtb02 (not that it's my place to be handing out congratulations to such god-like figures in randomness) on making THE most random game of my life. I have been enlightened and endowed with great wisdom... of randomness
I agree with HatSnatcher. I scored more than twice the amount of points requested for the hard badge (around 12mil), and I had over 200 combo by the end... Ahem. This game is surprisingly interesting for its simple method of play. The MP3 from URL is a very interesting feature (or so I'm assuming. I didn't actually use it), and this is a nice chill break from shooting zombies, slaying dragons, rescuing princesses, blowing stuff up etc.
And another thing! When I blew up a green mine with an ally, all good. When I blew up another green mine with that same ally... "Glitched!" (Lame - Minus 30 points) Dude! A script in Flashplayer 10 is causing it to run slowly! If you do not abort the script, your computer could become unresponsive!
Hmm. It seems many of us, including myself, are having problems with invisible enemies that sit there doing nothing. My ally asteroids can't destroy them either, only I can, with my great greenness. The game has an excellent concept and the intro is hilarious, but this un-enemifying glitch makes it a tad easy and dull, as the invisible enemies are all the same and they don't shoot or do anything else. Oh well
This is one of the kind of games that plays a part in the "can video games be art?" argument. Hard to pinpoint what exactly makes the game so interesting, (at least, interesting for most of us) but it certainly leaves me with a sense of awe, and I somehow think that there should be more games like this. Hope you enjoyed reading my long review :) Coz that's how I roll.
