I enjoyed it sort of in spite of myself. Gameplay is hideously unbalanced, and the "illness" thing in particular is seriously unfair and unenjoyable - it doesn't add to the gameplay, and in the mid-game it can seriously bend you over the table and do awful things to you.
Don't bother with any Hero perks other than Bomber. It's so far and away the best of them that there's just no point. Once you get a few of your archers upgraded to Bomber (a few, so that an illness doesn't wipe you out) you'll barely need to buy a potion or even a spike trap for the rest of the game.
Upgrading the wall is a huge waste of time, too.
completely bugged - I ended up in the treetops in the opening scene, only able to walk in the BARRIER parts of the screen - the black border around the map, the tops of the trees, etc.
Knights > all. Just spam special ability straight across the screen for insta-win, bombs are hardly even needed. Spearmen are basically knights that suck, so you need bombs BADLY for them. Wizards are the one class that wants a different play style; spawn waves of them so that the rear ranks can spam laser to allow the front ranks to cross the screen.
oh hey the last level is "all burst towers, maximally upgraded!" yay, that was quite a change-up
Seriously, this idea has some potential, but... poor, poor execution.
very, very pedestrian game with almost no variance (exact same terrain every level, very few mobs, really only one weapon worth using) - why is it so highly rated?
