You click and drag the batter, according to where his bat will end up swinging. Left/Right is obvious, Up/Down adjust the angle of the bat. See that little ghost of a shape? That's where he will swing. Admittedly, there are no explanations for this, which is a real bummer, but it's easy enough to figure out, using context clues. It's just timing, baby.
Here's a thought. Have tanks selectable, rather than have the menu a mouse-over function. Then, to make things even a little more simple, hotkeys. Enough said.
