Willie, I like this game, although I'd suggest honing your writing skills. If it helps, write it out in a word processor, check for grammar and spelling, and then copypasta that text into your code. I also recommend ~reading~ your story out loud, to yourself, or to your cat, or whoever is in the room with you. It sounds silly, but it really helps for you to catch a cadence in your writing style.
I wrote a zombie text adventure game, too, and just released this past weekend, titled Survival Horror: Interactive Fiction. We can compare notes, if you want!
Do you own the intellectual property for Star Trek? You might want to change the name..
Otherwise, it's got some good potential. I'd recommend using kongregate's API to implement a leaderboard for all the high scores from your gamers, so we know if we scored well enough or not.
Also, when I hit "space" it doesn't do anything in the game. I'd also prefer to use the arrow keys (or the mouse) to guide the ship, and not keyboard letters. Those are just my preferences, though.
Good luck!
thank for the suggestions, I changed the controlers. But I cant change the original name once I published it on kongregate, but in the "In-Game menu" I changed.
