Mute buttons on every screen, please. I realize you've spent some time and, clearly, effort arranging the soundtrack and accompanying sfx. However, I often listen to podcasts, the radio, the television, my girlfriend, the doorbell (for the pizza guy, et al.) when playing games. If you would like me to play your game formore than a few minutes, put a symbol that is a button that will mute the sound on your game in a corner on every page. Please.
2432 btw,
decent sniper/ point-and-click, needs a mute button. I didn't see much use for the NV, maybe once? I can't be sure. I would like to have seen, as Thijszon pointed out, better information in the briefings. Especially regarding one mission which actually told me that a point of information was a hint. Ending is fine, but a bit of a let-down; I get the feeling there was more to the story than I'm made aware of, but not in a clever, cliff-hangy sort of way. Needs more ducks and/or waffles.
1) I fear i could play this game forever. 2) I desire to change my name (did i miss the chance?) 3) keep the dazzling background lights going, sir, please. 4) al-a-ka-weapons options? (speed of attack, increase power, increase shield (blood, in-game). a neat first outing, reminiscent of grind quest. multiplayer? - we all want. maybe a code for saves for buddy battles or a random matcher based on level (not dissimilar to what you've done with the generated battle system) .
5)more waffles? - i think that goes without saying 6) possible inclusion of cats, or kittens or unicorns? - just looking out ;]
excellent demo! i realize alot of people want a fast forward button, I reckon they're taking advantage of the line of sight and cover in the game and waiting for all the baddies to sort themselves out, which is a good plan. For the next installment, I hope you make hiding until the bad people are gone less enticing. I like the setup of the GUI, everything is more or less in the right place, I'd rather you keep more than less of it (I did read that you're moving away from fallout). The audio is more than adequate for a demo, better than many "full" games out there. I'd very much like it if inventory space was better laid out . . . that is: I want the big stuff (jackets down to knives) to take up more space, and the little stuff (stims and syringes down to rings and necklaces) to take up substantially less. Overall, I'm stoked to see this come to fruition.
I love this game. I'm a huge fan of Lovecraft, and the ideas are well-implemented. Challenge mods are a pain, but some degree of unpredictability is good. I want more!
stranger premises have been put forward in the past. the game is fine; its a puzzle game. based on its merits as such, i'm underwhelmed with the gameplay, but the graphics are well done, and the foundations are definitely there for something more. I look forward to seeing more work from this artist.
@CharredNewt: a bar of gold weighs in at a staggering 400 Troy ounces, with gold at it's current value of 1291.2 ounces it's value is $516,480 USD. so Rupert, if you're listening, share man, share.
@Idivinev: Comnbat fight order is determined by speed, there are several items that increase the speed of your units, look around to fine tune your fight order.
I have to question the value in assigning arbitrary letter grades when there is an installed #/10 rating system. its the little starry things above the comments.
i gave it a high rating, i would have given it a 5 out of 5, but i share the same gripe as many here. awesome game made less awesome due to some over-randomization.
i would like to see a version 2.0, and i look forward to your next release.
uome, though the British are the 'good guys' in this game, the US did in fact enter into WWI following the sinking of the Lusitania and subsequent German u-boat activity along the US coast line. Google it, sir, if you doubt me ;)
