Not bad for what it is. I suggest adding a time limit or something to make it more of a game. Also, make it so that when I am dragging a piece it is above all of the pieces that are already in lace.
Hey Mikal: Did you instantiate the class? Put the code by itself in a file called "TrigThing.as". Then on frame 1 of your .fla, type this: "addChild(new TrigThing());". That should get you going.
Thanks, everyone! Once again, it is good to know my efforts are appreciated. @araujoculas: I have not written any articles about Flash, but I did teach web stuff for a while, which gave me a lot of training for creating tutorials like this.
Thanks again for all the feedback. I added Mute capabilities between/before games, and I have tightened up the enemies' boundaries as much as I can. Any more and they will magically appear out of nowhere. I am already planning TriGaVoid II, and I have some ideas for how power-ups and bosses will work. Thanks again for the feedback!
Thanks again for the feedback. You will see some of your suggestions - including a mute button - in TriGaVoid II: The Revenge. A question for you folks: Do you think it would be worth my while to post a tutorial on the math involved in this game?
Thank you all for the kind comments! This is my first completed game, so they are especially appreciated.
@dogmatixed: The equations are, in order: circle, tricuspoid, tetracuspoid, epicycloid1, epicycloid2, epicycloid3, lissajous, and lemniscate. I get the original radial formulae from the Famous Curves Index.
nickasummers: As an American, I feel justified in saying that Americans F*** around all the time...especially the one I am throwing shoes at in this game. :P
Oh: And, this game needs lots of work: 2/5
