The main ket is to keep boss, team and fans happy because this will also give you more (good) chances during the game, so spend your energy on boosting happiness towards them. I'm not sure, but it feels like that the cost of improving relationships increases if you do it more than once between games, so I tried to only do it once per game. When you have a good relationship and run on three hears, you can afford to miss some chances. This means that you can shoot for those hard goals every time. Making goals is much better than assist because you also get extra money per goal.
