Ugh. We've ALL played games similar to this. Like Clash of Clans, (though that was far from my first game of this genre) The last thing we need is a tutorial that not only forces your hand on every little thing, but it also lasts way too long. I'm like 20 minutes into the game, still in the tutorial. I know how to play the flipping game, it's pretty dang self-explanatory.
4/5 stars for being a 5 minute game but also being a puzzle/(platformer?) game. I NEED MORE LEVELS but it ended just as I was getting used to pressing space to use pistons.
If you have 100 crew available and crew are getting healed they disappear forever. Tried reloading the game, but that didn't work so now I'm stuck with about 50 less crew than I had before and with each new crew member still costing the same as before.
Unbeatable strategy is to fly around the map on the edges wasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasdwasd. You only ever get hit maybe once per level if that. Refill your health when needed and you'll get the high score in... A few hours. Yeah I don't have that patience. The game is too easy in my opinion. Maybe make it like asteroids, so you can go through one side of the map to the other, and the bullets can do the same. That'd add more difficulty and make my 100% guaranteed strategy no longer work.
Now I have 63,855 HP with -40% hit chance. Could not find an armor with the 200%+ hitpoint enchantment or I would have been able to get around 180,000 HP
Who is giving this bs advice about finding the right number. Mathematically the best route is choosing a point in the middle. Say if it's 1-100, start with 50, then 25 if too low, 75 if too high, etc.
I kept waiting for the tutorial to be done and the game to start. And then I reached the end. The problem with these simple puzzle games is while they may be good for a relaxing time, they aren't really a puzzle. I only had to restart twice the whole game and that was when something new was introduced that I didn't know how to do.
The game was fun until I bought the calculator upgrade. I really felt like I was training my brain in seeing relative values and correcting cognitive biases but then after buying the upgrade... it became less fun and more grindy.
Thanks for playing! Yea it's a prototype but I hope to flesh it out some day.
