Is anyone Else Stuck on the naming screen, trying to get the words to line up just right? I actually have a fair list of names I'd take, but they never arrive. Not even Captain Hammer.
Interesting flaw with Frost Nova and Presence of mind. If you use frost nova of the full 5 second stun, and use Presence of mind 2 seconds later, you instantly re-cast frost nova, wasting 3 or so seconds of stun time.
Changing it so frost nova isn't cast if all foes are currently affected by it would fix the problem.
@windracket Your comments have neither been constructive nor entertaining. That is why they are rated down. Ginny's ending was the first I chose, but I still rated you comment down.
@Heof You know that new game + also works for the special ending, and and mouse is far easier to play with. Wall of text and illogical suggestion of making hardcore easier than normal gets you a rating down. And don't whine about having trouble getting the hardest ending. What did you expect?
@ninjajack1234 while the game-play has some similarities, that's like saying CoD, Modern Warfare 2 is ripping of doom.
I would have given this 3/5 because I didn't manage to make it 1/4 through the game before getting bored. However, I'm bumping that up to 4/5 for the AI that tries to aim. Doesn't do it well, but does do it far better than most games.
I'd say add the standard upgrades (fire rate, damage, ect.), and some special upgrades for each weapon/ship. Needs more customization, more options, more upgrades other than buy the next ship.
Main Problems first: Game could be a bit faster-paced, inventory is tiny, and the number of active abilities is too small.
Overall it is a basic but fun game. The upgrade system is simple, and quite well balanced. You aren't told what equip slots you have, but they are rather obvious. Items are never too hard to get, nor really too easy. The abilities are all quite good, though the 4 cost ones could be powered put.
Normally for a game like this I'd give 4/5 but the art is rather unique and this is your first game.
5/5, and I'd very much like a sequel.
Highest voted ending may become cannon. Creator is considering making a sequel.
So, in theory, some of what you get in the next game depend on the vote in this one.
So vote for you you would most want on your side in the next game. I'm choosing the one that tried to harness the power of love for WMDs. Who knows, maybe she'll pull it off next game.
The shot for the Obelisk (high elf siege engine) doesn't stop moving when you pause the game. By pausing right after they shoot, you can effectively remove the delay between firing the shot and inflicting damage. That delay is one of the harshest things for them.
Problems. If your farms produce 200 per day, and you have 100 people, you food doesn't go above 150. Once you get a bunch of people, your food maximum can get very low.
Also I have 200% happiness. All I needed was 40 +happy buildings.
Has anyone else noticed you can just spam novices until your get 60 each round, then switch to a slightly more costly unit? I'm 1000 income ahead of my foe right now.
How to win later levels:
On level 3: Use mainly dark huts, plus a few blue smoke factories to maximize usable space. Swarm the enemy, and emp when they are close to hitting you. Don't upgrade til you've covered the map in buildings, the point is to produce troops faster than your foe can shoot.
Level 4: as three, but only dark huts, upgrade power to max upon purchase, and you shouldn't need to emp
If you click on the + to upgrade repeatedly when the game lags, you can go into negative cash and exceed the normal upgrade limits. Mega-bug.
