I forgot to pick up the mallet from the crate at the start and was able to proceed anyway after which the captain thanked me for killing rats (which I didn't do) with a mallet covered in blood that I was holding (which I never took)... I think you may want to fix that.
the game is okay, I'll give you points for the art. it would be nice if you improved it by at least making everything faster everytime you clear a formation. It would also be nice if they would shoot back.
lastly, this shouldnt be like any normal space invaders game. try adding unique mechanics so it doesnt bore people and is not called a rip off of space invaders. 3/5
the show more bricks thing should switch to old interface instead of filling the screen then back to new interface if pressed again. I have a hard time operating bosses.
