Quick fixit list: Game is too long due to unnecessary challenges with: (a) unresponsive controls; everyones mentioned this, and its because of a memory leak - restart to temporarily remove it. (b) grinding in a game with only a few upgrades e.g. needing flight for area 3, despite easily being able to get there without it and flight being so expensive: grinding should be rewarding at least. (c) restarting from the beginning. This extends the game massively, and when you're going for the hard badge you find that every little mistake irritates you as you need to restart completely if you fail. Problem is this compounds with (a). Unresponsive controls + this makes for a vicious cycle, as you get more irritated, which in turn makes you play longer. Playing longer doesnt make it more fun, infact in this case, it makes the game far less entertaining.
Considering you can literally go on forever sucking in all your enemies and healing yourself so theres no end, highscores are kind of a no life contest.. who can sit here longest pushing space while flying.
@hercludes, Complete the game 100% before saying the games replaced skill with upgrades/grinding. The only thing thats different is the games given you many more goals, and Rogue Soul 1 is packed into survival after the story - which still has goals.
Level 15 seems easier than 14. Anyway, anyone having trouble with it, just use 4 lightning and 6 saw cannons. Change 2 saws first up to the 2nd of the 3rd upgrade, then 2 lightning cannons to the chain lightning, after that upgrade the other saws to 3, then wing it.
Something that really does need to be fixed is turbo after crashing. Its annoying enough when you start in a wheelie position, but i literally started upside down when i had turbo 10 with the micro machine. So i had 3 instant crashes in a row, followed by a quad backflip which fortunately put me in the right position on the next respawn. Extreme aggravating.
To go to the super secret area, complete the game and unlock bighead mode, then press against the big rock with it to go through. I wont spoil whats at the end lol
Remember to save after each section, including finding triangular (tri force) pieces. If you die without doing so, you'll need to redo them. Might seem simple enough, but for a bit I thought the save points were more like checkpoints then actual saves.
I seriously just wish there was a way to skip the run up to the last boss when you get the relic. Its not like you haven't done that run a million times by that point.
LadyMargolotta, you're absolutely right. I did the hard badge along time ago (probably over a year ago), but after reading your advice I tried it once in the same fashion. I don't know if i did the same back then, but in 1 attempt I had 2.3million. While missing a fair amount of yellows. Very good advice to keep the game enjoyable.
