is there any possible way to make it easier to level up heroes? Getting crypt keys is so hard, it is damn near impossible to level any type of hero to max and then evolve and do it all over again 4 times...

honestly, the only thing that would keep me supporting this game would be if every single character has different skills, and if evolving changes those skills
Hy jsuslak, in the game we have three type of abilities: Active, Passive, and Subclass abilities. Active abilities work with a cooldown, and a % of spawn and can have different effects: poison- ice - paralyze - silence - heal - huge damage. Passive works with a % activation chance and can buff or debuff stats values for team allies or opponents. Passive abilities are spawned at the beginning of the fight. Sublass abilities, are abilities that can react to an attack or at a condiction, mainly when and hero is attacked. You can: Dodge an attack, take damage instead of another hero, counterattack, go in rage mode, an all the combination of those, like: take damage and counterattack.We complitelly change all the tuning from ver 0.31.00 and we had introduced only a fiew number of abilities to evaluate better the change. read some comments about disliking the auto combat: maybe different unit skills could effect certain enemies (for example: one creature could use a skill that attacks the enemy with highest speed/lowest hp ect...). This is generally what other games of the same type do to add slightly more strategy when picking heroes.
I would like to see more variety with hero skills. I have seen maybe a total of 5 different skills in the entire game...
I absolutely love this game and will continue to support it financially. However, PVP and friending seems to not work at all. PVP matches become impossible way too quickly, and I have yet to receive a friend invite or any of mine accepted even after sending out about 40
And we're glad to hear it! About pvp: if you lose in pvp difficulty will be reset. Also you can fight other players in rating menu (pvp -> daily). About friends: most of the players already have maximum friends, but soon there will be a lot of new other players, so you'll have a lot of new friend request!
One issue I have found: This game tends to crash the flash player when left on in the background. No other application causes this so it must be this game.
Sorry for inconvenience and thank you for the report. We can't reproduce this error. Can you tell us details, which browser are you using? And what you mean by "left on in the background", you switch to another window or just to another tab?
reflect is extremely op devs. I would suggest a flat damage that scales with difficulty/level/stars. I have V attackers fighting basic boars and getting destroyed. No way that should happen and there is no way around it...
You can use tactics like: get defender in a front line, kill enemy by ranged attack (if enemy return dmg only to melee) or kill those who give aura first etc. But thank you for the tips will think about it.
defender and stout creatures should be able to defend missile attacks. They are pretty much useless since my ranged attackers have no life and get killed immediately
