For the cannon, the further away from the cannon you drag your finger the stronger the shot. Then quickly tap where your finger is, not the cannon, in order to keep that power up. You can tell by the little black dot on the red bar. Hope that helps!
This game was fun, threw in new variety, and gave me a moderate challenge! The controls are a little touchy but I got the hang of it eventually!
