What beat wave 45 on insane for me was the BFG...I know, it's slow, but it's basically a nuke gun, which makes it stupendously useful when combined with a shield, the long reloads can be used to run around anyway, I had marathon runner and crowd master for the reload running, as well as long laster to make that shield gather a few more zombies around me before blasting them all.
the pushback ability proved best, I could just use it whenever I was surrounded then spring somewhere safer.
@DevilsRain Yeah, whoever put the difficulty tags on the achievements clearly didn't realize staying alive past the 2 minutes rank is far, far harder than any of the other achievements
After many tries, I've done it, I managed to finish the game on nightmare level and keep my original leader alive, mostly through sheer luck, her name was Elloria Teanhyl, She saved the world.

or some reason, i like it more than the sequal, i beive it isbecausethey switched classes, which ad a nice tactical vaulue, to skils, which with enough time, allowed everyone to do everythin, and items didn't help much
Important Tip:always put your intellegnce at 1, it helps with nothing but team skills, in which you can rely on your fellow soliders.
