There is a lot of stuff I like about this game but it is overshadowed by what irks me. First of all, disappearing coins mechanic doesn't work in a game where your hitbox and the enemy projectiles are so large. Second, enemies that can back out of the screen and not take damage force you to hope they walk back into the screen. Finally, weapon upgrades that cost as much as the next weapon makes it so most players won't ever upgrade lower level weapons.
if your having trouble with running out of lives, next time if you get down to 2 lives - click new and the down arrow a few times. That way the next time you get to the place you were stuck you may have better gear.
This game is so fun, I really hope there is a bugfix upgrade for this game. I hate being stuck to missing masters, overpowered late game tower defenses, and levels not unlocking.
Ah, as I have completed the quest to lead people to different taverns at least 4 times and I only have one master unlocked, I am guessing the game has bugged.
