The fight music sounds like a mimicking of Final Fantasy VIII's battle music. I like.
Make more good BGM like this, and have them be changeable within the game... like in Protector II and Protector III (look it up on Kongregate. Fleeting Stones and Tepid Medium in particular are great BGM tracks)
Excellent that the whole party gains exp even if not summoned.
Please either add 3 more levels of difficultly to many stages, or just put a nice little TICKER button, that I can click an increase my difficulty to any amount I want! It would just scale monster hp and such accordingly. EXP becomes minimal after a while without something like that.
Love the main screen bgm. Reminds me of the background music used in the Anime "Fairy Tale". This game is great. Should be some upgrade that improve starting cash in each round.
I beat the game, but the upgrades should be stronger, especially for the costs. At least an extra 2% on soe of the !5 upgrades, but for all upgrades in general, they are pretty small. Extra hp is small, more heal is small, etc. OR provide more than 5 tiers to an upgrade.
areas fro improvement: 1.- item variety. While there are many different item types, they do not ramp up in bonuses. there is essentially only one set of items that can possibly get you through the hardest level in order to move on the last 2-3 levels......2.- spell variety. there is only one decent set of spells to win this game.... 3. - Your shop. HOW'S ABOUT A "FILL SHELVES" BUTTON. It's a complete waste of time filling the shelves, one item at a time... 4.- Attributes. May as well get rid of attributes such as blocking and others. There is never a decent enough item, with a high enough stat for it to be worth wearing. There is never a decent enough set it items (hat, ring, gloves, etc) with the same attribute boost, for the boost to be useful if you wear all the items... 5. - moves per turn - at the least upgradeable by one move to 3 moves per turn... 6. - multiple lines of 4 and 5 made should result in more than 1 extra turn.
If you're going to redo an old game form the 90's ESCAPE VELOCITY, then try to make it a bit more fun and expansive. You might want to get yourself a Mac and go play Escape Velocity again.
What do the stats mean?! what is "d.slash, d.pierce"? Does it mean DEFENSE against slash or DAMAGE to slash? I need to knwo in order to strategize!

Undefined doesn't really make his game completely explicit of functional. He leave a lot of things unexplained. For example, in Protector 3 and 4 - details of the units and there abilities are no existent. This game is likewise. There are many icons and pictures on a unit card, and nowhere to find out what they mean. OBVIOUSLY they have meaning, which is why when sorting by rarity, two of the same card will not always line up next to one another.
This game could be seriously amazing, with a few tweaks, and some added info.
DARK MERCHANT helps you beat the game. You should have 4 Dark Merchant in your deck along with a 4 low cost GOLD ONLY unit that spams 10-20 fighters, like the Fresh Skeleton or Peasant.
Always play GOLD cards until you don't have any one screen, then send out freshskeleton to die. 15 deaths = 1 dark merchant use, which boosts gold +2. I beat this gane by always getting my gold generation to +19 or higher, sometimes higher than +30. Then you can win.
