Hello! Due to the controls being the buttons that they are, it is very easy to hit ctrl+w and close the tab. This does look like a fun game, but it's a bit hard to play due to this.
Hello! I've gone and obtained planets 21 through 24 and none of them have names, the max allowed satellites is 0, and all the upgrades are simultaneously level 0 and at their max. Depending on how you store the planet data, is it possible that it's all just off by one field or something? If it's client-side problems, I'm running windows 10, using google chrome 64-bit version 67.0.3396.99, and had previous save data that did indeed carry over correctly.
Hey, thank you for the feedback, I will look into it. EDIT: It was most likely because the game auto loads all values on game start and since those newly added planets were not saved beforehand their values were set to 0. I will upload a hotfix in a couple of minutes.
Hi, there! To help with troubleshooting the memory problem: if you keep playing on the same level multiple times in a row, the memory problem occurs. However, if you win and advance to the next stage after every battle, you don't run out of memory. Is it maybe possible that it's keeping the stage in memory so it doesn't have to reload it but it gets reloaded anyway into another place in memory where it never gets taken out? This is admittedly a pretty wild guess.
I'm very sorry, but there's definitely a memory leak. If you leave it to stay looping in the same stage, eventually you get an unexpected abort(200) that corresponds with memory usage peaking.
Hello! I'm unsure of why, but when I face the pharoh boss he'll just disappear a few seconds in (I've noticed his health will end up in parentheses right before he vanishes, so maybe he's falling into the mega negative HP?) and either the timer will stop and nothing will ever happen or the timer will continue to count down with nothing ever happening until it runs out. Either way, the boss health text in the top-left goes absent when the pharoh does. During this time, my missiles seem to lock on to something far off-screen if I'm in the bottom-left quadrant of the playing field.
All of this said, I want to let you know I've been having a blast playing your game and I really look forward to watching it grow over time.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Besides the bugs, I'm glad you're having fun. The next patch will be for weapons but the patch after that, I will try and fix the boss bugs and the missile aiming at who knows what.
Just a thought, but I think that it would be handy to have separate purchase amount selectors per ant. I often find myself wanting to give the queen max food, buy 10 workers at a time, and buy 1 scout at a time, but right now I have to switch back and forth between buy amounts to do so. It'd be really cool if I could set the queen to max, the workers to 10, and the scouts to 1 and just be able to click between them as needed
This is a great concept and I think that you could do a lot to expand upon it! I think that needing 16 winged for what's effectively your first real challenge is a bit much, but I understand that game balancing involves a LOT of trial and error. I think that it would be interesting if there were meta layers in the long run, like nurse ants that can create workers and maybe even all the way up to colonizer ants that go drag a new queen to a new location to start another colony. I wish you the best on your journey with this game!
Thanks for the feedback. Your idea for nurse ants is interesting,
a new game mechanic we had planned is one or more slot where to insert special ants type
that improve some aspects of the anthill and make others worse.
But first we have to fix the game balancing.
We did not expect such a massive arrival of users from day one. :-)
Hello. Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I have not experienced this control in the browser. :) I changed the firing controls.
