So like, just to be clear, this game has strict tules about the disease not spreading, even a little, if the government closes its borders? So if Madagascar closes its ports, it's basically game over?
Any level where the solution is obvious but it relies on split-second timing (especially that one where you have to drop two barrels on opposite sides of the screen the instant the level starts) is... not a puzzle.
Why can't I buy more turrets? I have the money, and there's no maximum listed anywhere. I even waited until I was out of battle after one of my turrets had been destroyed, so there was a theoretical 'slot' for another one...
I wish when I double clicked to send all jellies that it didn't then select the tower I was trying ot send jellies to. The number of times I've accidentally sent jellies away because of that...
Took me waaay too long to figure out that the way to progress was to abandon one or two paths and put multiple fighters on one path at a time. But it was fun and less thankless once I figured that out.
On top of not saving my game, it's super easy to lose progress or lose a day by accidentally clicking c and x too fast. These features seem very poorly designed especially in a game that's nominally supposed to be about progress. Not so much as a "are you sure"
Wait... it didn't... save my game? I have to start completely over? Aw man, I was intrigued to come back but now I'm kinda mad and don't wanna play out of spite.
What the heck is this dumb "you have to perform a spell to kill the boss after you beat it or start over" thing with a combo that doesn't even seem to work? Do NOT like this mechanism.
Finshed the 'expert' 50x30 "stage" level and it registered but then it didn't keep that I finished the puzzle? I gotta go back and re-do a multi-hour puzzle? aaaahhg
You guys know you only have to get 5 days out of the week to get the shiny badge, right? I've been seeing for a couple week snow people saying they won't get it because they can't/won't get one badge a week. And like, yes it's frustrating, but it won't ruin your shiny streak.
So if you die, you restart the day, but with less traps, and possibly less survivors, than you started with, making it even harder. Right, that's well balanced.
The aliens are annoying because they require skill and lots of upgrade points to hit, but the ghost ships, oh the ghost ships... those are the true bane because even the weakest ones are a pain in the ass, spending so much time incorporeal, jumping into portals all over the place where they're hard to find... I swear I spend several minutes at the end of each of the later levels just waiting for the ships to actually freaking show up.
