After 15 days I was finally able to reach my first city, kept getting NAN to city bugs, had to keep fighting till I died, so I could restart and try again.
Galaxy view offers much more than I would otherwise expect, definitely wasn't expecting it'd show station overviews. Though it would be nice if there was a warp to sector option, or an ability to travel to stations, and if we could see the cargo we have in station hangars.
I for one am pleased that offline cash has started working for me seemingly all the time, when it would only randomly work for me before, even with a browser restart and cache clearing.
Would be nice if amounts would go higher than duotrigintillion, and if the ship's levels didn't max at 33. And it doesn't seem that the cost of the various ships scales correctly. Serious, how is it that it costs less to buy 3300 dreadnaughts than it does to buy 2200 fighters?
12/10 84:51 seemed like it'd be interesting as an ocean challenge, not really so hard at all. So I started it again and bumped up to survival. About 10 minutes into it I started to wonder how much longer I could even survive, at 15 minutes I realized I might actually be able to win, and did. Definitely hafta say that was the most challenging game I've played. Did nicely for my stats too, killed nearly 800k creeper, nearly tripling my previous accumulated total. Didn't think to check my totals for reactors or mortars built, but I sure built a ton, and more relays than I've ever done before.
Great game. Seems to showcase the inherent lag, and freezes that comes with flash quite well. Though I can't say I've ever known of a flash game, that really needs to played fullscreen, ever have a problem staying fullscreen. Particularly irritating is when the fullscreen gets knocked to the background. Least when it freezes you can just hit play now, though that will only have limited effect. To keep playing you'll need to frequently clean your browser cache and restart your browser. You'd seem to be doing quite well if you're only spending 1/4 of your time restarting/reloading. I'm still going to keep playing, albeit much less for now, going to limit myself to non-flash mmo's.
If only finding Lachhh the pirate and getting his gold were so easy. First you need to force the game to pause by making it inactive, by clicking off of the game that it happens to recognize. Then to get his free gold, don't click on him, wait until he gives you his gold to tempt you back to playing.
12/11 both efforts ended in total green-out first at 18:44. Second attempt I figured I could speed it up by moving odin city onto that western hill and streamlining attack, ended up taking me 20:58. Seems engaging the creep sooner requires more energy than I was aware of. I'm guessing it'd be better to wait for a complete engagement, keep them at bay with mortars, and build as many collectors as possible?
