@omega777, there's a pretty big problem with that idea. For low tier armor/weapons, it *may* be good, but when you combine 5 pieces of armor that all have 200+ for attack, defense, and perception, it's going to be so overpowered that it'd be considered game-breaking, *not* something that's good for this game.
There seems to be a worrying trend from 5PG to keep making armour and weapons that are more powerful than the last batch. While I don't think this is bad (as it does add higher level content for higher level players), I do think limits should be added, limits that aren't based around Planet Coins. For example, perhaps newer zones could have a level requirement so as to prevent a lower level from accessing weapons and armour meant for someone level 1000+
@CDW151, It can be done, and has been done with other MMO's. I've played a zombie-horror MMo that had this, and there was never a problem with corrupted data. Besides, 5PG could always give us the option of saving our character info to our computers, which could open up the ability to import our character to other servers like FaceBook or Armor Games.
We NEED some sort of single-player instance for this. For large World Raids (ESPECIALLY this one), it can literally take an hour and a half just to use all your Energy points due to the lag from all the players. Single-player instancing things like this would remove pretty much all the lag, then players could reconnect to multiplayer for their damage total to be viewed by others.
To anyone who does not favor the newer combat system over the old one: You can revisit a carbon copy of Runescape as it was in August of 2007. You will start as a level 3 off Tutorial Island, but you will have all the benefits that "Old RS" had. You need to be a member to do this, however.
In the Story Mode Ending, when the penguin posts on Fakebook. Right below the middle post (The one about the hospital stay being so long) from the penguin is the phrase "LightBringer is sad for the long wait."
It'd be really nice if there was a way to hide raid chats. For something like the WR, I don't always find what people are discussing to be appropriate, and minimizing doesn't hide everything and hides how much damage I'm doing.
All in all, I found this to be such a great game that I found myself online for hours on end. It had a terrific community that was very helpful and dedicated. In my opinion, I believe the issue that will cause the game to closeon May 9th is not a lack of revenue, but instead the lack of revenue is the result of excessive server work. People such as myself (I was seriously considering donated Kreds for quite some time) don't want to help support a game that goes offline for days at a time with no warning. 6waves, if you can find a way to continue this game with less downtime, I'll be here waiting for it. Best of luck!
It'd be really cool if we could "break apart" our hourglasses that reduce upgrading time. For example, I have a Frosted Hourglass (20 minute time reduction), but I have something that has 10 minutes until completion. Instead of wasting 10 minutes worth of Gold Crowns, I could break apart my Frosted Hourglass into 3 or 4 Woodsman Hourglasses (5 minute time reduction). This would make it really helpful for people who have spent money on this game.
6waves, I understand you're working *very* hard to improve the game, but why can't you create a backup version of the game for you to fix any bugs on. You'd be able to fix any game problems, and we could still play as they're being worked on. When the fixes are done on the backup, you could simply use the coding which patches it to quickly repair them here. I've seen several major game developers use this technique, and it never fails for them.
Poelie, try refreshing the web page a few times. If that doesn't work, then perhaps you should try clicking the "Game Bug" report option to the right of the game screen.
It'd be nice if we could give our Knights multiple tasks to accomplish while they're away (i.e. "Attack the barbarians, and start a farm if you kill them all"). It's pretty inconvenient to send them out to attack, wait for them to come home, then order them to march back to where they were.
ericbloedow, if you're dedicated to the game (Logging in daily, taking part in raids, etc), then the badge doesn't take too long to obtain. Unsurprisingly, thousands of people obtained the badge the minute it was released.
It was all going really well....I removed hiribs and lungs, and carefully set them on the table to go get his new heart. Then the motorized saw fell on a lung.......whole operation went to hell pretty quickly after that.....
I literally LOLed, well done ;D
