How many swirls are there in the game alltogether? I found 1088 and from the ones I missed I'd guess there are about 1150?

I LOVE this game! unfortunately, I'm already at 100% and have completed it 5 times or so... Funny bug though: Today, the game "forgot" my stars at the island express. And they are not counted if I find them, either! Also: It "forgot" one of my pants, as soon as I entered the level, the pants were back...
