This is good. Very good. Stands apart from other TD games I've played, and it does require strategy and forethought when placing and upgrading towers. Worth every second I've spent playing it. 5/5 and fav'ed.
Yes, many of us have read the book and it's sequels, we know who Douglas Adams is, we know we know we know. You don't have to act like a jerk who knows more than everyone else because you FINALLY read a book most people have known about since before you were born.
A very fun game. The only thing I wish i could do was send squads of troops out into the field with stuff like bazookas and grenades and whatnot. The reinforcement thing makes sense, I like how that's done, but like a squad order thing would be good, use one and a small group of guys runs out and causes a little havok.
Yeah, the flanking thing doesn't seem to work very well. I constantly have two groups of pixels on either side of an enemy one, yet they always die, and the enemy....doesnt.
There's a glitch where guys can run off the map and the attack wave never ends, and since you don't kill him you don't get the 'wave complete' thing at the end where it adds up the points.
An excellent game, but it does seem a little bit unbalanced in favor of the invasion waves. Of course, that just makes for a better challenge, right :P
I have to say, the music is really entertaining. I'm at the 'submit' screen and have been for like and hour, just chatting and listening. Awesome stuff.
I wish you had maybe 4 slots you could discard into, so that if you get stuck on a ring and cant fix it, you have a chance to move pieces out to replace them. It'd make the game a little easier in some small cases. 4/5, good game, though.
44 thousand and change. Too bad kong API doesn't seem to be implemented, or we could keep highscores. 44,000+ was my final score - i don't know it cause it's not on the last screen here :(
