Hi, I’m Kevin Anderson, and I work at Wigan Tree Services. I’m lucky to have two big passions in life that I absolutely love: caring for trees and playing video games. These two things might sound totally different, but they both let me be creative, think smart, and have a great time. They help me relax, solve problems, and enjoy what I do. Let me tell you more about how these passions shape who I am and why I’m so excited to be part of Wigan Tree Services. Since I was a kid, I’ve always felt close to nature. Growing up, I spent tons of time outside, running around in parks, climbing trees, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. I grew to love trees and the environment, and over time, I realized I could turn that love into my job. Working with trees feels like a way to give back to nature, keeping Wigan’s yards and gardens safe and looking great. Now, you might wonder how video games fit with tree care. They seem like opposites, but to me, they’re connected by things like planning, creativity, and solving challenges. Video games are my way to unwind and have fun after a day of working with trees, but they also keep my brain sharp, just like my job does. I’ve been playing video games forever. As a kid, I’d get lost in them, and I still do. There’s something special about jumping into a game and exploring a new world or tackling a tough challenge. Whether I’m adventuring in a fantasy land, solving tricky puzzles, or battling in a fast-paced game, video games spark excitement and joy. They also teach me skills like quick thinking, working with others, and adapting to new situations—skills that actually help me at work, too. Tree care and video games have more in common than you might think. Both need patience, focus, and the ability to make quick decisions. When I’m working on a tree, I have to check its health, figure out what it needs, and plan how to care for it safely. In video games, I do something similar—assessing a situation, thinking ahead, and finding the best way to beat a challenge. In games, I often have to plan my moves carefully, like in strategy games where every choice matters. It’s the same with trees—I need to think about how trimming or removing a tree will affect the yard or the environment. Both tree work and gaming give me a sense of pride when I finish a job. After a day of tree care, I love seeing a neat, safe yard. After beating a tough game level, I feel that same kind of accomplishment. Balancing my job at Wigan Tree Services with my love for video games can be a challenge. Tree work means long hours outside, climbing, cutting, or chipping wood, which can be tiring. Video games are my way to relax and recharge. Some evenings, I play something action-packed to blow off steam. Other times, I pick a slower game that needs careful planning, which feels a bit like figuring out a tree job. Gaming also helps me connect with people. Whether I’m playing online with friends or meeting new players in a game, I love the sense of community. Multiplayer games have taught me about teamwork and communication, which I bring to my work at Wigan Tree Services. Working with my team to trim trees or chip wood feels a lot like working together in a game to win a challenge. A typical day at Wigan Tree Services starts early. I head out with my team to a job site, ready to tackle whatever trees need our help. We might trim branches to keep a tree healthy, remove a dangerous tree, or chip wood to clean up a yard. Every job is different, and I love the variety. Being outside, I get to see the difference we make, whether it’s a safer property or a prettier garden. After work, I like to kick back with a video game. Sometimes I play a solo game to get lost in a story, or I join friends online for some fun competition. It’s the perfect way to unwind and get ready for the next day’s tree work. At Wigan Tree Services, we do all kinds of tree care. If a tree is too big, sick, or in the way, we can trim it, remove it, or turn the branches into wood chips. Wood chipping is awesome—it takes leftover branches and turns them into mulch for gardens or cleans up the mess. We use safe tools and careful planning to protect your property and make sure everything goes smoothly. Safety is super important to us. A tree that’s damaged or unhealthy can be risky, with branches that might fall or trees that could topple. We check every tree carefully to decide if it needs a trim or removal. We use strong equipment like chainsaws and chippers, plus safety gear like helmets and ropes, to keep everyone safe. We also get any permits needed to follow Wigan’s rules. Our process is simple but thorough. First, we look at the tree’s health and surroundings to plan the job. If permits are needed, we handle them. During the work, we trim or remove the tree carefully, chip the wood, and clean up the area. If you want, we can grind stumps or suggest new trees to plant to keep your yard green. We love helping Wigan’s homeowners, businesses, and property managers. Whether it’s making a yard look nicer, clearing space for a project, or keeping trees healthy, we’re here with a friendly attitude. We offer a free tree inspection to check your trees and give advice on what they need, like trimming or removal. It’s our way of helping the community keep their trees strong. My love for trees and video games makes me excited to come to work every day. Trees are like games—each one has its own challenge, and solving it feels great. Whether I’m helping a customer with a tree or beating a tough game level, I’m doing something I love. My goal is for everyone in Wigan to know they can count on us for great tree care and wood chipping. Our prices are fair, so everyone can afford quality tree care.
