Fantastic game, IMHO, rpg elements exceed TD aspect, if you do a protector 5 I hope you push further in that direction. Still, lots of fun for all of us in the meantime...
Minor whining - scouting report would be nice if it mentioned flying.
As others have said, melee is challenging because it misses so many waves, and really, you are only as good as your 'worst' wave. Solutions to this would either be to limit 'dense' waves (creeps aren't spaced out much) to walking, or to in otherways make the melee + aerial specialist approach better. I think the aerial specialists solve one part, but it needs to be balanced on the ground.
Not that I don't keep trying to run melee + archers +watchers anyway.
Fun game, reminds me of suicide salaryman, except that one had no hints and took me much, much longer. I think it would be fun to turn the stage names off, they give a lot away.
That said, fun game, some cool ideas.
Just wanted to say that this was, to me, the most impressive flash game I've played. I think that a lot of games are rated higher because they are a lot of fun for 10 minutes, this game had strategy, good graphics, good feel, it was just very well done. Look forward to your new projects, and thanks for the enjoyment we all got from this.
I've never pulled off the restaurant. The key is to build up massive speed by doing very flat jumps with nice entries (flat jumps so that you have more chance to pull off nice entries increasing speed). you want to do that for a minute or so, then head up, pull a star slide, come back down, then tailslide and jump out of it with HIGH speed. then you starslide and jump out of the starslide going higher and higher.
much like epic war 1, gameplay is slow, not very interesting, and somehow i feel compelled to finish it. I guess everything BUT the gameplay is fantastic.
the restaurant is way way way past the nebula. You have to pass all planets first - after nebula is jupiter, saturn, uranus, nepture, pluto ... then the restaurant. I've only seen it, I've gotten Pluto but no further.
