the frequency and absurdity of some of these events are just plain weird. One fire and your scientists loses your current tech? They don't have backup data anywhere? They're too stupid to reverse engineer their own tech, and have to research it again from scratch? This is planetwide tech; how does that happen? Especially non-military tech. Likewise with strikes and whatnot. One strike or mourning period and i lose thousands of units in resources? dafuq. 10/10 game otherwise~
Random idea: random conquest events, e.g; conquered countries rebelling, other countries forming alliances, other countries conquering, civil wars, etc.
Cash on hand- $1362606, Drone Weapon System upgrade cost- 258353, Current Drone Weapon System level- 9, Available skill points- 32. But I can't upgrade it? and thats the only upgrade im not allowed? (i feel like im spamming the comments section now, soz)
i think i need to tweak the way i am showing the skills in the university. the large $number underneath the skill name is the cost of BUYING the skill, not the upgrade cost. the new upgrade skill cost is (base cost * upgrade skill lvl). if there is no button, you dont have the money or skillpoints.
People are saying they want to conquer planets/space/etc with katherine, but isnt a little inappropriate due to the historical fantasy setting? How about conquering demonic/angelic/dragon/elvish/dwarven/etc realms instead?? Last map: Conquering the homeland of dark knights from where we summoned them. Also, i'd like to suggest conquering in any order similar to warlord (i think the game was called), where you can conquer any territory adjacent to one of yours, and the difficulty of remaining territories scale in accordance to how much youve already conquered.
The Aliens thing started when there was a unity web player issue a few weeks ago that took our game and a few others offline for almost the entire day. we put up a temporary image place holder that said Catherine had gone off to fight aliens or something, and everyone had a laugh =). We actually don't have any plans to conquer other planets. We will probably reserve that idea for the sequel! haha.
random suggestion that may or may not be good: let us control/reduce certain incomes or something to fix my ocd problems ><. 19417210 is a pretty ugly number imo.
more suggestions:
*Taxation system on territories. Control the income from them.
*Rebellion System: constant dice roll for chance of rebelling territories. Dice roll augmented by taxation (they'll be more upset with higher taxes) and military power (they'll be less likely to attack someone who is strong). When rebelling, you (obviously) receive no income from them, and you have to re-subjugate them like you would wage war- with troops, money and time.
LOL. nice...
