I'm glad there's this demo! I've been considering buying this game on Steam and only today did I realize that this demo existed. The psychic powers + murder mystery has me very interested.
This is a pretty enjoyable game, there's just a few things that bug me overall. 1: it would be nice to have the option to bunch heroes into some sort of party, that way I don't have to reselect the same batch of heroes that I've figured out work well together every time I want to send them out (also would help with my issue #2) 2: Past a certain amount of heroes hired, the game gets really tedious to deal with. Yes, there is the option (which I generally do) of sending out a lot of them on the longer quests and just keeping a few for quick questing. It is still a lot of people to juggle and it begins to feel pointless to hire new people (or maybe that's just me).
The time it states I was away is always the same (wrong) number? (I want to say it's like, 58 minutes or something like that) I'm unsure if it gives me production actually based on that or based on the real number, but it does feel kinda low, even for 25%.
This was a really fun game! I loved seeing decisions I made actually making an impact on further story stuff (still sad I didn't have the money to pay the treefolk when they came in). It was really fun and very pleasing to see my town grow and citizens being happy.
Both times I've played this game, it's reached a point where all I'm doing is killing enemies and I have no time to do anything else? Like, as I'm finishing one wave, the next wave is coming in and that's distinctly... not fun. I'm not sure what exactly I'm doing wrong since I played a similar game and didn't have super issues? I do really like the overall flavor of the game and I like the sound indicators for different types of enemies!
There's some things that I feel are somewhat unclear (though maybe I just am being slow). Does changing the level of a step increase/decrease its speed? It doesn't visually appear slower, yet the material/product/networth per second increases/decreases as I mess with it, implying some sort of rate change. Where do the congressmen come from? What am I doing that lures them in (also, "Prestige Award" under their description appears misspelled)? How do I get better levels of court cases (though I assume this one is one that I'll find out along the way)? Also, the Resume page puts the name as First Name, Last Name (but if you use the comma formatting with a name, it's always Last Name, First Name). This game is pretty fun so far! Thanks for the enjoyable game.
Heya! I see that odd graphic glitch with the wrong party display got fixed, which is awesome. Noticed in messing with skills that the Rogue's Trap Avoidance skill has a typo in its description (using 'change' instead of 'chance'). Thanks for the updates and the fun game!
Okay... potentially dumb question, but I'm still not entiiirely sure what the 'Attack' and 'Defense' on the Edit Explore Stats screen effects. Is that to scale like, the max Atk/Def of monsters in the dungeon? Does it scale the average? (though the second doesn't seem, numbers-wise, to be the case)
Nice job on the party update! There appears to be a slight issue with displaying the right members on both the party screen and the dungeon screen (I'm not sure how to describe it). To get it to display the right party members, you have to try two times (it still functions right, it's just the wrong display).
Ah! I see you added that adventurer's skilled update as well as auto-explore stuff and an improved equipping menu! All very rad! Thanks for the update!
I somewhat wish the different exploration categories had a range of dungeon difficulties they would find. It seems like my adventurers are never strong enough to fight the dungeons found through the two longer exploration categories, since it keeps going up. (And I assume that's where you find the iron and steel equipment? which is what I think would help bridge that difficulty gap) Leaving them doing odd jobs overnight really helped with the gold problem I was having. I suppose I was being somewhat impatient in those regards. (I really like the method by which you unlock the Rogue's Guild.)
Thanks for the replies! Unsure when it was added or maybe I just hadn't unlocked it, but the training partners upgrade is really helpful. Also, something I'm noticing is that the cost of buildings does a really steep jump from when they're first bought to their upgrade cost.(though some buildings, like the class-related ones start out pretty steep)
The cost of the guild hall, armory, and museum all intentionally rise fast as they are 'tier upgrades', and are more designed for when you have higher level adventurers.
Also, this game is pretty fun so far! I really like the dungeon feature since it provides more interactiveness while still being an idle game. It has a good progression of game complexity, where you can fairly easily get a hang of current features before you upgrade something and get new ones. It's really nice that there's not a constant gold cost on the woodcutters and others because A: I really hate keeping up with that in other games and B: the gold production seems to cap at 1.5? Unless I'm mistaken. Looking forward to see how this develops in the future! :D
Very few buildings actually increase gold production, most gold production comes from dungeons. Upgrading your guild hall does add a little however, as well as setting adventurers to do "odd jobs".
I don't fully understand why disassembling the copper short blade allowed the smiths to learn to make it, but they don't seem to have done that with anything else I disassemble?
This was a fun game! There were just a few things that bugged me. For one, the lost point for asking why he came to you instead feels a bit iffy? Like, it's obvious it's because the police don't care to handle his case, but it felt kinda rude to just be like 'you're here cuz the cops don't care,' so I didn't quite realize it was supposed to be a deduction and not just dialogue (asking why he came to you instead felt the most polite to me). The second is that I wish there were some alternate clue connections/it didn't seem to let me connect certain clues before a specific point? I had it figured out since a long time ago, I just couldn't get the game to let me get the deductions, it felt like. But that's an issue in a lot of crime-solving games, so not a huge bad thing or anything. I had fun, it was amusing and straightforward. Thanks for the game! :D
Thank you! Let's put it like that: if you want to reach the maximum score, you need to be a superlative detective, à la Sherlock Holmes! But I see what you mean, it's true that first point looks like a normal phase of dialogue instead of a deduction, I'll keep that in mind for future cases.
Anyway, glad you had fun and thanks for playing! :D
I'm having a lot of fun playing this game! My only issue is that I have a lot of issues that cause me to have to reload? (like, it'll just load and load before eventually telling me I have to refresh it)
This is really fun so far! One question though: is the picking up items guy supposed to always be impossible to pay for? The first time he showed up he was charging 5K and I only had 2K. Now that I have 5K, he's charging 20K?
The cost of the guild hall, armory, and museum all intentionally rise fast as they are 'tier upgrades', and are more designed for when you have higher level adventurers.
