the game isn't bad. you just need to work on some of the balance in regards to your monetization. prices are just absolutely ridiculous, game dev's need to stop aiming for the "whales" when they make "f2p" games. you have to stop tailoring your games towards a p2w type model with an emphasis on attracting whales to dominate in the game. yes that model can work, but it's detrimental in the long run. there are very successful games that do excellent without going this route. candy crush, dota 2, league of legends to name a few of the larger one's. consider smaller transactions, less walls that block play for exuberantly long periods of time. 8-12 hour events are just excessive. the pricing in this game is just absolutely insane as well.
anyway i gave it a 3/5 i do like the game, but as with many games, the monetization model sucks the fun right out of it.
springboard needs to be reworked. i dunno if its a bug or intended, but its really strange that it pretty much always springs you back up to a set height. doesnt matter if youre dropping down on it from a really high height it doesnt bounce you very high. perhaps have it count your downward speed into how much it bounces you back.
can anyone explain to me why colonies have to re-research and re-unlock units you've already unlocked and researched before? you'd think a species advanced enough to teleport troops across the universe and traverse space could do something as simple as sharing their own technology between colonies.
sigh. you dev's who make games like these, freemium style games. you do know zynga is starting to lose alot of money right? setting your game up with harsher pay 2 systems isn't doing zynga any favors and it wont do your games any favors. getting anything done in this game takes forever and is quite annoying. there's an addictiveness to it but it's the same type that farmville has but that's not going to last long once you get frustrated with how slow the grind is in this game without using real life money.
it's a nice game. but it seems to be rather slow going. hard to afford mats to make the epic items and without using at least some of the materials some of the lvel's can't be beat even with perfectly made weapons. copper grips handles etc just aren't enough. even when you use higher grade ores like steel, gold and crystals are rarer. either way the rate of resource gain could use a bit of tweaking.
heh, looks like edgebee runs a bot for comments. every comment that says this game is awesome gets +4 nearly without fail. but look at the comments that are negative. it's always -4 which is just enough to hide the comment. either the 4 people upvoting or downvoting are bots or they're just the edgebee dev's.
edgebee is just a bad developer period. all their past games have been nothing but blatant money grabs with poor coding. anyone who's been around kongregate long knows this.
saw this game on the front page sounded exciting. loaded it up noticed it was edgebee and i left. edgebee always makes the most money grubbing greedy overpriced cash systems on this entire site.
this is horrendous... it's an rts game where you can't control your units. there's nos trategy in this, the ai is idiotic. this game would have been better if they turned it into a tower wars type game.
you know what's REALLY retarded? you get an award for maxing out one of your workshops except you have to PAY for that reward once you get it, with real life money/tokens. GREEDY beyond greedy.
uh.. i remember playing this game as a shareware game a long time ago. so someone converted it to a flash game and trying to sell it? 10 bucks, quick google search shows a few other places you could get this game for 8 bucks or less even.
game's fine. except for the fact taht damn near everything worthwhile requires me to spend real life money for. no thanks... i know games like mafia wars and castle age make assloads of money but even those games dont force real money use as badly as this.
game's still retardedly imbalanced. the computer has virtually limitless archers in some rounds. which is just ridiculous considering how fast the human archers attack and how much dmg they do.
gonna play this now. hopefully it's not as tedious as some of the previous protector series. though i did enjoy those older protector series a fair bit too.
Yes, everyone knows the secret number to comment bots is 5 so we picked 4 to be conspicuous.
