Only left CTRL key works on my keyboard. Quite hard to play with crossed hands. :( Allow to configure the keys and I would gladly play it. It has a nice retro touch.
Whoops, sorry about that. I've made it so both left and right Ctrl should work, and added Z since that seems to be a 'standard' primary fire button for many shmups (I've also made sure enemies won't shoot you when they are outside the edges of the playfield ... that was just a bit too evil).
I have played these levels, I mean exactly the same layout. But another game, not long ago. Was with a robot iirc. But I cannot say which one is the original.
First version was funny, this one is annoying. It takes way to long to get the upgrades. I just do not feel like doing 100 times the same jump to be able to buy 1 upgrade, and then again and again. I will get those badges when I have not better to do, maybe next year.
Since the game does not pause when you go to weapon selection, should it be possible to close this screen when selecting a weapon ? The only way to harm enemies seems to buy spikes, mouse click 1 does nothing. Mouse click 2 brings the flash player menu. Using arrows would be great too, not everybody has WASD placed as on an US keyboard. The spikes do reset between waves. 2/5 for the music.
Well, on a mac book pro 4 cpu 4 gb ram it lags like hell. Turning takes seconds, white squares appear. I tried to move forward, ugh. Sorry this takes to much resources.
Not to play on older computer, CPU usage rockets when more than 6 enemies on my old laptop. On the 4 CPU one it is fluid. I like it, really fun to play. 4/5 so far.
Nice game but could not finish level 6, 3 blue bricks would not break. The ball was even caught in the brick or its edge like a pinball ball. (Looks like hit counter/resistance of the bricks went negative, looks like some <= 0 test instead of ==0 test could be needed). I otherwise like it, music is not aggressive :) good work 3/5 until bugs ironed.
