@Txboy1234 You can't control who works where. When the food is full, they make wood, when the wood is full they make tools etc. You can reduce how many people work in each production using the percentages (which are unlocked on the research tab). So if you want people on tools you could set it to lower food production and 0% wood production and they would work on tools, once you had more people than it takes to fill your food buildings.
@reaperofthesouth
If you can't control your production using 1% increments then you've bought too much. Don't just mindlessly buy buildings if you can't even support 1/100th of their production. You don't have to buy buildings just because you can afford them and you honestly shouldn't until you can balance around them.
Medicine is mainly for making money in early to mid game, if it didn't increase the survivability of your people there would be no downside to just maxing medicine production and getting loads of money.
Food is meant to have a small storage, like real life food goes off. If you want to see what happens when you have loads of storage shove a load of genetics into food storage and see how unstable it makes your population, trust me you don't want huge amounts of storage.
There is a restart, it's when you ascend when you have over a certain population and enough genetics, aka the prestige mechanic.
Yeah there's definately a bug with war atm. Even if the number of soliders and weapons I'm bringing doesn't change, my attack power goes up and down at random. The only way to return it to the max amount it to hold for a few seconds and then just start fighting again. Ruins idling.
For everyone complaining about sicker, it's for mid games when you have A LOT of genes ( I habe 40 billion for example) to get some good income money wise so you can upgrade quicker. The birth and death rates ones are awesome for farming genes late game before a reset, so if you can't see the point of them you just don't have enough genes for them yet to use them.
Er this game is really unbalanced around gold. If you just put your battle mode to max capture and invest max amount of gold into building mines, then spend whats left on upgrades for everything else... you can complete the game way too easily. I've literally been playing about two and a half hours and I'm already on so much OMG power I can't even see all the digits on the screen anymore and I'm one shotting every pack. Now its just clicking screen after screen and there's no point to it. If I can get to over level 300+ in less than 3 hours with this method there needs to be some serious balancing around gold and just building as many mines as possible while capturing the max people... This game looked good but it's honestly disappointing how quick you can essentially complete the game in a matter of hours.
There's clearly a bug with war at the moment. The only thing limiting farming it is the weapons, but currently my soldiers go to war for only 2 years and then rest for 8, even though it will say 8 years left of fights > 7 years left of fighting > 8 years left of resting. It's not even doing 8 rounds of fighting even though I have an attack power of like 300mill vs 30mill, so it's just wasting all my weapons.
It says I'm meant to lose half my weapons if I win the battle, but I always lose ALL OF THEM. It fights for two rounds, throws away all my weapons, takes more, repeat. So it's using so many weapons when it's not even fighting for the 8 rounds regardless of if its on 10x the attack power when it switches to resting after only two rounds.
The +/- only doing 10% really makes micromanagement of the resources hard, you should be able to control it to 5% at minimum and really 1% would be preferable :(
