I like the idea of length indicators for plus, but it makes it too hard to see the around it. If it could be transparent that might help.
That's one of the tweaks we have planned for the next update!

For me it would be easier to make two different buttons to select pen or pencil, rather than having one to toggle. I often forget which one I have selected and don't want to have to look at the corner to see.

I was trying straight and couldn't break 4 million after 3 tries, then tried radar with all other options the same and got 9.6 million.
