Found all ways to win in both modes, all 73 types of tiles - the game is addictive! Got a few ideas:
1) How about a mode where a player creates the starting layout? Maybe even a few challenges with different more challenging win conditions, so that you see the conditions and try coming up with a layout that would allow you to achieve it;
2) Maybe a spell that would protect one chosen tile from darkness forever? (except the stone circle)
3) Sometimes I wish there was a way to destroy a building/undo upgrade.
4) How about magic and technological areas giving negative effect to each other? F.e. mining village gives decreases production of adjacent magical village and vice versa - until you build a great city of tech and magic/magical mining.
5) New area: Darkness Research City - produces only when covered by darkness; or just produces more when there is more darkness.
Big YAY to the new update! Rocks rock, lighthouse stars, we get potions and so many new types of areas and ways to spend that extra mana. And darkness is more menacing than ever... You think you can still do with just building a meager light research city or upgrading the stone circle? Thing again! This time darkness will not be that easy to defeat. Prepare yourself for thrilling new experience of battling those evil encroaching dark tiles!
After update of 17th November there is a couple of issues. 1) Infinite wyrms (when a wyrm passes through net another wyrm is spawned in the net; easily caught 10 wyrms from 1, planting 10 nets in a row); 2) when standing in the same place with an enemy, cannot deal damage to one another - only "missed" and "blocked" on both sides; this also means you can't kill a golem in a vertical shaft, you need at least one extra tile in horizontal direction to be able to fight it.
1 is definitely a javascript error of some kind - I can't reproduce it so I can't figure out what's wrong. If someone hits F12 when it happens and sends me the error console log, I might finally be able to figure it out. There are no vertical attacks (yet - we are considering bombs you drop), so you cannot hurt enemies on the tile above, below, or on the same tile as you - you need to be next to them to hit them. Luckily, the enemies can't attack you from above or below yet (although, one of the mini bosses in the next update will have the first vertical attack).
Cool and very promising! One minor suggestion: would be nice to get some kind of indication of which types of potions you can still drink. That is before you craft them)
Some tips. Travel takes the same amount of time no matter what destination you choose.
Median price for each type of goods is always the same.
The higher the median price of some goods is the more profit you can make from selling the same amount of goods (f.e. you can make a couple of hundred selling 1 melee weapon and more than 10 000 by selling an artifact).
You get +1 notoriety each time you use a special deal to buy OR sell the goods.
You also get +1 notoriety whe you successfully avoid trouble or use an opportunity,
so for that always keep some cash and junior execs available (and upgrade communications to get the deals more often).
Each time you travel you get +1% of money in your bank account, so put spare cash there
(just keep enough on hand to fight off trouble or use an opportunity).
