This is a nice and enjoyable game. However, once you compensate a character's weakness (ie, you upgrade the damage of a rogue, or the speed of an axeman), every character becomes pretty much the same. Once I realised this, and noticed that I was geting the same skills up untill leech, I gave up on playing it trough for a second time.
Final boss is just fine. Yes, you won't be able to beat it everytime, but even without any grinding, I'd estimate my odds of defeating it at about 30-40%
The game is very buggy and really wasn't ready for release. Whenever I train climbing for the first time, it goes up to 50 immidiately. Other than that, the amount of xp/levels gained for training often seems random. And then there's the random crashes/glitches ...
What is incredibly annoying about this game is when you are "on the same spot" as an opponent, and your hero doesn't know which direction to face or attack.
I get the lag spikes too, very frustrating.
But ... I never never had any problems with the controls whatsoever. Double jump *always* works fine for me, wall jump *always* works fine for me, skid jump *always* works fine for me.
I think it looks as if you are jumping right at the edge, but in fact you are jumping just an instant too late and are already off the edge, thus you do the double jump already.
I love this game. One of the best games on kongregate imo, and possibly the most underestimated one.
I love the gameplay, I love the graphics, I love the music. 5/5
I like the atmosphere of this game, and the way you make progress. But we've seen this gameplay quite a few times before, and frankly, it was only so-so the first time.
This game is awesome. Lovely concept, well made and the music fits in just fine. However, there are a few flaws. First off, it's short and too easy. Second, the upgrades don't seem to matter all that much, and don't really add anything to the game either.
