After dumping 10+ hours into Super hexagon trying to beat the final level (and somehow getting 53 seconds of the required 60 after not playing for a month), this game suddenly feels much easier than I remember from so long ago (previous record was 300 s). Managed to get it first try for the quest. Werp.
1. Intro/Instructions/Pause screen. Somewhat hard to tell what's going on and you jump right into the action without being able to stop it at all. Though complete instructions might be last, at least a basic explanation of the numbers, controls, and mechanics or something. Interesting game though.
Took me forever to realize that the flying colored blocks can be killed. Use the attack corresponding to the color (ex. red = fire, yellow = electric, etc.).
Selene as the leader + Erica, both fully upgraded, is near invurnability. 15% superchage each time Erica is hit and 5% more per kill means that you can keep a constant stream of Selene's superpower, enough to offset any damage you take, even when standing in a meteor. Add to that Selene's damage spreading passive, passive healing, resurrection, and even the increased health potion drops, and you should be perfectly safe. (Beat final boss with Selene, Erica, and Ray with no deaths. :P)
More info: Breaks down in both firefox and chrome. Sometimes the portals flash before text appears, sometimes the ball flashes, once the ball started moving but froze and it's starting point flashed. FUrthermore, right clicking and going to settings has the settings menu cycle very quickly through all of its tabs.
Seems like it is thinking the spacebar is stuck.
How to dodge many shots, thanks to enhanced aim: Mash two opposing directions. (AD, WS, etc). The enemies fire to either side of you, "anticipating" you continuing to move in that direction.
epic fail. Besides being a bad game with a random plot, it seems to have been put into every catagory, including emo, zombie, and girl. All this does is DISCOURAGE people from buying the game. Reverse advertising ftw!
Finally. A game using the Portal/Terminator-inspired evil AI without being steryotypical runfromititwillkillyouandthenblowitup, also typically in a lab. This time you are evil, and I like those kinds of games.
Shield + rogue is almost instant win. Rogue does double strike over and over, with mana drains to prevent running out. Shielder's thorn reflects more than you take, and the ultimate makes you invincible for 5 or so turns. In those turns your rogue should get enough chaos (EACH HIT fills the bar, so you fill twice as fast) to let you use the shielder's ability again. Fun game overall, though the wilderness really needs monsters that get harder the higher level you are.
