Gotta love a developer who listens to the fanbase. I`ve got to admit I`m impressed with the pace this game gets new features. Keep up the good work, I sure as hell plan to stay around and see how you keep improving this game! ;) All in all I rather like the new pace too, a slowed progress is better than running out of content too soon and for now I`m content with the speed of my upgrades and all of the changes you did lately.
Wife could have a moodbar that decreases over time & makes her auto-pick eggs if filled. Increases when you give her flowers or talk. The house (marriage before upgrading house completely is easy) makes her happyness decrease slower for longer auto-picking, so upgrading the house after marriage has meaning.
Regarding wifes:
Mayor`s daughter
decreases mayor`s prosperity cost by a fixed percentage saving money, but no immediate benefit
Chickenseller
Some free eggseller upgrades or just permanent auto-eggpicking. Any who dislike chickens as is could skip them and still benefit. Active players can be best if she slightly increases egg laying time.
working girl
jack-of-all-trades assists in harvest/irrigation/eggs but does so at random (or boosts random skill), so you enjoy some benefit without abusale skillbuilds. Or she could start a flowerbed to produce flowerbouquets you could sell.
Whenever I`m busy fulfilling a vegetable order, the eggs my chicken lay are counted towards that order instead as eggs. + this if you encounter the same bug.
Pretty decent timewaster and the sense of progression was nicely transmitted. Would be nice to have more skills or random events to keep the interest a bit longer. This needs a statistics page though, it screams to track how many ores you mined, clicks you did and so on.
Maybe you could introduce a fatigue system to give this more depth, unless you want to keep it as it is for artistic reasons to make a pointht about how many people would work like Sysiphos or paint the fence like in huckleberry finn if given a slight incentive to make that entertaining.
I've mixed some of your ideas with this last update. Hope you like it.
