My only problem is how damn grindy the second hard badge is. This game could have been perfectly fine without the 4th badge, but now it just feels like a chore to finish the last campaign, especially since all the skills are just renamed copies of other class skills.
Absolutely fantastic game. Only disappointing comment I have is that you should probably nerf the barrage spam. I've killed 2 bosses without them getting a turn just by spamming barage and resetting the stun counter. Or make their stun resist higher. It's a little underwhelming when a 15k hp monster doesn't get to attack.
ALRIGHT. So I completed the game, got every damn ore in the mine and collected everything and did everything to be done. I was satisfied with it, but as a review, I think you could add more depth to the combat. I saw the magic button there and never got to use any. The weapons and armor choices were really low and there were only 2 enemies in the game. I feel like it would have been a little more complete if you just added a little boss+10k gold chest behind him to reward you for your efforts or something. I just felt like my time was wasted on combat.
Still a solid 4/5 because of the uniqueness of the game and it kept me interested until the end.
Hi! Thanks a lot for your comment!
Related to the issues you comment, I think you missed my post on the top section about the game situation :) (It's easy to not miss, no worries). The game was part of the Game In Ten Days contest, hosted here in Kong, so we did most of it in ten days. We are doing upadtes now to add more content, enemies, levels to explore, missions, etc. but it's taking time. If you check the update log, you will see that crafting was actually included just a few days ago, and shops didn't even work in the first two versions :) Hope you come back to check it later on when it's improved! Cheers! Dis.
Thanks for the compliment! (It was a compliment I hope! :D ) Hope the game works well for you now. If you want to check out what features will be coming, please, check out the game forum, where the road map, known issues, and suggestion threads have a lot of info about the future of the game :) Cheers and thanks for your patience! Dis.
2 things.
1: Gotta get that crafting menu fixed, the game is practically unplayable as it is.
2: Idk if I'm not far enough yet, but a monster bestiary would be nice. HP, stats and maybe just some flavour text?
Hi!
If you hit control + F5 the game should refresh fully. There is a new version just uploaded with the craft menu fixed. As a side note, the craft menu got fixed because of a bug in Kongregate update system, which busted an updated and then prevented me from actually reuploading the build. That got fixed right now fortunatelly, so the new update should have some nice things :) Cheers! Dis.
Vox Populi Vox Dei - The voice of the people is the voice of god.
This game can be interpreted in so many ways, but I take it as the main character being a freedom fighter against the oppressive government (Like V). He runs around trying to make things right, but in the end the voice of god ends his conquest because the people are too satisfied with their life as it is and don't want anything better. So the big werewolf at the end symbolizes the complete assimilation of the opinions of the masses into the government's regime. Ultimately killing the main character is a sign of no hope left for the general population and the death of freedom.
Awesome awesome game! I was scrolling through options and such and came across scientific notation. Did you put that there just for fun or is there a reason for it being there?
Very good game, enjoyed all of it. Only suggestion is to ease up on the level times possibly. It would be nicer if the later levels didn't take so long. 5 stars anyways though!
This game is a million times better in response time than the other, it's also a million times harder. Love it though, very well made. Maybe an option to skip some lines would be nice. 5/5!
It might just be my computer but the calibration is just out of sync for me too. The thing is that I use the click of my mouse on the upbeat to keep in time so I've got a constant rhythm going, but the game sets me at some inconsistent timings. I think it might be device latency due to me using a wireless. I used my keyboard and it's the same thing, so it honestly might just be me getting frustrated. I honestly think it might be my computer's response time to key input. I understand that's not your fault then. I'll fix the rating because it is actually a fairly good game and I'm sure you worked hard on all the tunes as well.
Ah ok, sorry about your problems then. If the calibration itself doesn't show you being consistent when you really are, then there is something wrong. (For most people I would suspect first that they just think they are consistent, as I've witnessed this in real life way too many times, but I trust your drumming experience!). I always intended for the timing to be super strict, and I guess the consequence is that there's a higher chance for someone else's computer to have problems with it. I'd be interested to see if you have problems with my other rhythm game here on Kong, which is also super strict but written in Flash instead. That would at eliminate Unity being the problem. Thanks for being considerate with the rating!
I'm a drummer for 8 years, frankly, you need to sync your music better. It's frustrating as hell when I'm on a straight path and it marks me wrong for no reason. 3/5 only because the damn tunes are catchy.
hey, the game being perfectly accurate is very important to me, and I've put many measures in place to ensure it's accurate, given that your computer is powerful enough so it doesn't lag. Have you tried recalibrating? According to the statistics I have here for your username, you haven't recalibrated consistently. If you can get an A (or an S) in consistency for the calibration, and it is still out of sync, could you please message me? I'd like to get to the bottom of it. Thanks! You should be able to, since you've been drumming for 8 years.
